Cocohut a.k.a. Cocoshit

We stayed in Perhentian Island (Pulau Perhentian Besar Terengganu) New Cocohut Chalet 3 days 2 nights (RM130/night). Our first impression as we stepped into the place is: RUDE STAFF!! The staff look like they're totally bored of their jobs and need a vacation.

BAD BAD BAD BECAUSE:

1. Rude workers
I'm Malaysian traveling with my French boyfriend. They were very rude to me, but gave my white boyfriend better treatment. Every time we asked them a question, they stare at you with a blank face. They threw in complimentary breakfast. We asked for 'tea' and they served me Malaysian tea (teh tarik) and my boyfriend got english tea. I asked the waiter why the difference? And he scolded me, saying "YOU ARE MALAYSIAN. HE IS A TOURIST!". WELLL EXCUSE ME?! I AM AS TOURIST AS MY BOYFRIEND IS! Racists!

2. Lousy rooms
Our room had 2 queen sized beds but they only provided us with 1 miserable towel. The bed had red ants!! The toilet seat had a big hole (so you have to STAND to pee/poop) and for the price you pay, you don't even get hot water! And the bathroom just looks groossss! bad bad bad!

3. Nearby beach not nice
The beach just opposite Cocohut doesn't even have nice white sand. And there's corals everywhere so it's tough to even dip into the shallow part of the water. You got to walk 10mins to get to a more decent looking beach.

Conclusion: Cocohut's lousy service makes me SHAMEFUL to be Malaysian! Do NOT GO!

EVERYONE JOIN HANDS IN BOYCOTTING COCOSHIT!!!!
