hello lowyat, i've old model notebook ASUS A42N which is i've to press power button many times and unplug the power cable to turn it on.

the problem is when i press the power button, its only light up the bulb symbol while d notebook doesn't power up.
i've to unplug the battery & power cable and plug it back press d power button many times till the notebook successfully power up.

what is actually problem to my notebook? something hardware failure? pls guide me thanks lowyat.

How to transfer to new owner car's card

hello lowyat, i need help and here is the situation:

how to change to the deceased owner car's card to the new owner while the car is still under loan to bank?
the deceased owner's husband is still alive and he need to change the car's card name to him, himself. due to renew roadtax.
the roadtax can't get through because the owner has deceased and been given 6 months to settle it.

refer to JPN & JPJ, the steps are we need to go mahkamah anak negeri to take surat kuasa to transfer the property to the husband.
and how about the car is still under loan to bank?

hello lowyat, i've problem reformat d acer v5-431 which shows d 0x80070057 error.

i'v tried d method to delete & create new partition n still showing 0x80070057 error.

what's d problem actually? is it d hdd?

hello lowyat, i've been called 0322982498 at 10.59am, wednesday, 7 august 2013 by ambank insurance.
i've agreed with their terms and conditions on the phone. the first payment will b rm140 for 2 month payment. monthly is rm70.
still not deduct in my ambank account for this month.

my question is how to cancel d agreement? is it my ambank account will b deducted start on september or end of august?

Warranty claim procedure

dear lowyat forumer out there,

i would like to ask about the Warranty claim procedure, i'd hv sent my sony xperia mini pro to claim the warranty due to failure on 3/12/2012. I have follow up to call the service centre n they are giving answer still in processing.

my question, is it a normal procedure which take about a month to repair & fix my handset?

Dual Boot Error

hello lowyat, i just bought western digital 500gb. im trying to make dual boot win7 n win xp.

win7(installed 1st) n then d next when ive finished install win xp, while boot it shows "A disk read error occurred Press Ctrl + Alt + Del to restart"
ive try to reinstall d win xp but sadly it stills error occurred.

lastly, i just repair d win7 start-up n it back to normal.

anyone know hw to solve it? thanks.
