AGP slot unable to detect GC

Mobo = ASUS P4GE-MX, P4 2.8ghz, 2gb RAM
GC = NVIDIA GEFORCE 256 series (1VGA, 1DVI port)

The GC was tested working fine at my other PC but when try at my fren pc (the above specs) his mobo AGP slot cant detect the GC.

I had try
- delete the display driver
- disable integrated graphic at BIOS
- set agp shadow mem to 128mb at BIOS
but stll the mobo cant detect anything.

any help pls?

hi,

Just bought a LCD benq 21.5" support full HD and have DVI port.... My CPU P4 2.8ghz - socket 378, no DVI port...only VGA (built-in GC).

If i hook the LCD via DVI port, the display will be better than VGA rite? So, i need to buy a PCI display card with VGA & DVI port.

And my question is...

1. Any specific GC that I must buy?
2. Can recommend me any brand or cheap price GC?.... (PC use for school work, spreadsheet, worksheet, watch movie, photo and play simple game)

I have no clue at all about these GC and compatibility or min requirement...

CMOS error and RAM issue

1. my ASUS P4GE-MX are displaying CMOS checksum error everytime and every setting back to default.
beside change battery, what else should i do?

2. Mixed CL RAM.... Can i use DDR1 PC3200/400/CL2.5 in slot 1 and DDR1 PC3200/400/CL3 in slot 2...??

how to make usb port 1.1 can read usb 2.0 device?

am using pentium 3 pc for my kids to play around n do their school work. The problem is, the pc cant read data from thumbdrive ver 2.0.
Any help guys?
