M.2 Not Detecting

Hi Guys,

I just pop'ed in a second M.2 NVME WD SN550 Drive on to my unit.
It didn't detect the drive even on the bios. (i have it on the second slot on my mother board)

Here's my build,

Strix B450-F m.board
Ryzen 3200G CPU
RX Vega64 GPU
500GB SN550 on first M.2 slot
500GB SN550 on second M.2 slot (this is new but not detecting)
3 more HDD on sata connection
16GB of Ram
650W PSU

on asus web site (https://rog.asus.com/motherboards/rog-strix/rog-strix-b450-f-gaming-model/spec/)

It states as below;

Is the CPU making the board not able to accept another M.2 connection due to the APU?

[WTA] Nikon D3100 vs. D90

Afternoon to all,

Currently I have a unit on loan (Nikon D40) and just recently bought a 50mm f/1.8d lens.
Yes I am not able to us the auto focus, but it ain't that bad.

I would like to seek some opinions from you guys here between;

a) D90 + the current lens I just bought
b) D3100 + 50mm f/1.4g

All i take at the moment is just my baby girl, up close. Which would you guys rekon from the two above?
In the future I might want to get a 17~50 f/2.8 when I get outdoors. What's the price range of these lens?

I wouldn't mind getting a Canon if it's a better choice for my usage and I don't wish to spend too much.
My dad has a 350D and also bought 50mm lens which I can just take it from him.

Hi guys, I've been reading for the past few days and could patch up the infos together.

I'm just wondering if the below spec would be able to playback 1080p & bitstream the audio to my AMP for decoding?

PDC E5200 | Asus P5KPL-AM | Asus Xonar HDAV1.3 | 2x1GB DDR2-800
or would it perform better if it's;
GA-MA790GP-UD4H | PHENOM X2 550 BE | 2x2GB DDR2-800

Casing I had in mind is the Silverstone LC17S, and would start out with 1TB of HDD.

I'm thinking of building the whole system within 2K.
I wouldn't mind stretching slightly if it's needed.

Guys,

I've seen *read about* a few models (from this forum) but i'm not sure how they acctually function.
Those I've heard are Dvico, WDtv, Popcorn .. well I have no idea how they work.
I'm keen on getting one to store my DVD's and also load up some series to ease up the disc swaping hassle.
and also, a music jukebox.

Any recomendations? as in where to get them, price range & also pros. & cons.

Oh yea I don't have a LCD and Screen which can take HDMi input, still using a component cable on a normal TV.
Aiming for a PJ instead of LCD.

Guys I've been in this forum for a few weeks and had auditioned a few sets up speaker.

At first I decided on getting a Yamaha 663 AVR. But ..
1. Do I need HDMI since I'm only using a 29" Panasonic Normal TV.
2. Do I need 7.1 if Blu Rays are still not common in the market.
3. I'm moving back to my parents in 1 1/2 years time, then i will have my own proper AV Room. Currently living in my own condo, parents building a new home.

Speakers that I've Auditioned;
1. PSB Alpha Series with T1+C1+B1+VelodyneCHT10R
Verdict: Music See no Flaw, Movie Seems Good, Bad thing is I don't like how it looks like.
2. Mordaunt Shorts Avant 906+905+903+909Sub *or was it the lower end not sure (a bit noob)
Verdict: Music Better than the PSB in terms of charactiristics I can feels the treble/mid/bass all individually. Movie a bit sharp, i guess it's more on treble. I'm not sure. But I like how it looks.
3. Monitor Audio BR2+BR LCR
Verdict: Too hard on the bass, only manage to audition 'em on stereos cuz no HT setup.
4. Mission *forget these .. 5 minutes and I knew it wasn't for me.

Paradigm any good? What about Yamaha & Wharfedales?

My budget is being nudge day by day from 3K to 5K then 6K now i guess I'll need 7~8K liao. Sigh.
Can you guys please help me sort out a HT setup on your opinion;

a) AVR
b) Fronts
c) Center
d) Surrounds
e) Sub
f) DVD player

I would like to know the price of the setup; If can list down individually it'll be great.
Anyway I can get Yamaha Items cheaper. With some reason.
I'm really lost in direction, but I know that I'll not get a Plasma or LCD, cuz getting a projector when I have my AV room in 1 1/2year.
So should I just settle down with a 5.1 AVR? get good Speakers and bring them towards my Final Project or Bring the AVR forward?

Hi,

Came across something on the net.

I have 4 extra speakers from my old set;
Pioneer S-DV1T
2-way system, 7.7cm cone woofer/2.6cm tweeter
Nominal Impedance 4ohms
Frequency range 70Hz ~ 20kHz
Maximum input power 100W

If I connect them in serial in calculation I should get 8ohms resistance. After testing with a multi meter it’s showing 0.07~0.08Kohms not so constant.
So I get 1 pair to tower speakers with impedance of 7~8ohms.

Can the Yamaha 663 drive them fine it it’s set to drive 6ohms?

Should I use them for the front or surround?

What speakers will you recommend to go with this?

Hope you can help share your knowledge.
BTW how does Frequency range help me determine what I should look for when pairing up a 5.1 / 7.1 biggest range? Where can I read on these?

Hi Guys,

I'm very new in this, I bought a Pioneer HTZ252DVD set around 2 years back.
Last week my house got broke into, and they took just the player with the integrated amp.
Now I'm left with 4 standing speakers, 1 sub woofer & a center speaker.

My question is;
I would like to re-use those speakers and rebuild back my Home Theatre.
What should I look for?
I want the system to be able to;
1. Play DVD
2. Input for my electric guitar *previous one didn't have
3. CD player *Audio
4. FM Tuner

The speakers are rated 100W 4ohms
Will I be able to work out within 2K of budget?
I don't know where to source for these items too but after reading this forum, i'm more intrested to jump into it.
