i hope all the pros can help me on this. need a 4k budget photo editing pc including a monitor =)

- will be using the pc for mostly photo editing, maybe a bit of gaming from time to time

- wont be overclocking the pc ~

- prefer a good monitor that shows good colour contrast ( between 21-24" )

- should i get ssd too? will it improve performance?

Gpu Question

hi there, i own HIS HD 4850 that is around 4-5 years old. its still working well but the temperature is worrying me >.< it idles at 59-60 and peaks around 80+. i never change the thermal paste >.< main problem here is i cant play games continuously ( need to constantly restart game, rest awhile etc)

so the question is, what can i do to reduce the temperature?

some choices;

- change thermal paste ( i don't know if this will have major effect on the temperature )

- change aftermarket cooler ( i've browse around the garage sale and found some aftermarket cooler that is suitable for the gpu )

- change new gpu ( i love my hd 4850 >.< but if thats the case, what are the best for a budget around 300 )

so i need some opinion from the experts here on which option is better as i want to spend as low as possible xD i only play HON on my computer so i don't need a high spec gpu if i need to change to a new one ~
