Bike depreciation

Hi to all sifus,

I plan to buy a bike for temporary use for 1 year (or 2 years max) because i am waiting for the bike that i want:
Honda CBR250RR (not even sure if it will come to Malaysia or not) or
Yamaha R25 2019 ver (not even launch in Indonesia yet)

First choice will be CBR250RR but if it didnt come to Malaysia in 18 months, then i might go for new version Yamaha R25.

What should i buy now to minimise the loss in value due to depreciation when i sell the bike later?
Should i buy:
New Yamaha Y15ZR
New Honda Vario 150
Used Yamaha R25 (2~3 years old bike at approximately RM13k)

I dont own a bike at the moment.

Anyone work in a casino in Phillipines before?
My brother said his friend just got the offer.

Salary: SGD 2000 per month
Contract: 12 months
Annual leave : 20 days

From what he said, Malaysian chinese are suitable candidates because we are fluent in Mandarin and English. For casino, they need this requirement especially they have lots of Mainland Chinese customers now.

Is the above offer too good to be true?
SGD 2000 = RM6000 per month.

Korean Cars Resale Value

To be frank, I am not a Korean car fans. I used to side on Japanese cars as many says their engine is more refine, more reliable, better resale value, better fc, cheaper spare parts & etc.

A friend of mine recently bought a Hyundai Tucson. When she invited me for a ride, it changes my impression toward Korean cars. After getting known the features they throw in, I must say it is a lot more than the Japanese cars offer.
Sun/Moon roof, Push Start button, Keyless Entry, Lower car price, Sliding back cover, Electric adjustable seat & many more.

Makes me tempted to get the new Kia Sportage.

But after doing some research, I notice some Korean cars resale value is really really low.

From the above, when compare Kia Forte with Honda City, both depreciation is almost the same.
I got some question and I hope some people here can share their experience.

1. Does that mean not all Korean cars depreciate badly nowadays?
I also recently found out that the Kia car designer is actually ex-Audi's designer. Peter Schreyer.
Is this one of the reason Kia's car does not depreciate that much for post-Schreyer designed cars?

2. Is the Korean car spare parts very expensive compare to Japanese car spare parts?

3. Fuel consumption wise? Heard a lot of people said Korean cars have bad fc.
Any Korean cars owner would like to share your first hand experience?

Hi to all sifus here,

I have a strong urge to buy a new electric guitar to replace my current one.
I am interested in the Ibanez GSA60. So, what is stopping me? Here is my story.

I have been playing in my band since 2002, stop playing in 2006 (due some band member have different interest), then continued again in 2008 till 2012 (stop due to my job heavy workload, unable to practice and compose new song, and also the passion fades away).
Then recently just play back with my band again 2 weeks ago. I don’t know why but suddenly I have the urge to buy a new guitar.
My current electric guitar (Craftsman – I don’t know the model, cost me around RM600 last time) has been with me since the I started learning guitar (more than 10 years now). But the main concern is I worry after if I bought the new guitar, it will be a waste if I stop playing after few months from now (I don’t know what will be the reason this time).

Canon or Nikon?

I would like to buy a simple camera to shoot location/site as well as products.
What i have in mind is either go for Canon or Nikon, but i have absolutely no idea what model to buy as there are way to many models~!

Here are some simple requirement:

Budget: RM650 (or below)
Full HD video recording
Night scene (I think most of the camera have this feature right?)
Ratio: 16:9
Powerful zoom (i know this is very subjective right? the more the better la.haha.. )
Panorama (optional)

Any advise where to buy to get better price?

Buy Car or Save Money?

Hi everyone,

I am really confuse and can't decide. Need your advise...
I am currently driving a 13 years old local made car, the car didn't give me much problem.
But the outlook of the car is really worn out, so, whenever i drive the car, it's kinda lowering my self confidence when meeting customers, colleagues, friends, relatives & etc.

If i buy a new car, it will solve the above problem but i will not be able to save much money after i paid the monthly installment for 7 years. (maybe can save only RM100 per month only after i buy a car).

Please dont ask me to buy an old second hand car, coz before this i drive an even older second hand car which requires too much repair until i have no choice but to change to my current car.
The current car i'm driving is my 'second' second hand car

I am about 36 years old this year.
So how?

Self esteem and confidence more important?
Or save money more important?

My friend just joined SK Brothers as Property Sales Executive one and a half month ago.
She said the job is pretty high pay. Asking me to join also.
The job is basically attend to sales enquiry in the showroom as well as phone call enquiry.
Salary is zero basic. Commission base.
Commission is about RM3k to RM4k per unit (after the loan is approved).

Looking at the current market, houses are really selling like hot cakes. Is it really easy to close sales and earn those commission?

What are the pros and cons working as a Property Sales Executive?

Deep inside, I felt the company is a bit fishy as the whole sales team is all new staffs.
There is no senior staff at all. Non of the staff work there more than 6 months.

Any comment? Pls help. Thanks.
