External Partition Issue

I am using Asus A455L, Window 8.1, my issue is
My laptop cannot detect external hard disk, so i find the solution from web that i need to change drive path, so i did it. It can open the drive partition after that.
The problem is,
1) whn i using my external HDD plug into other laptop, it cannot detect.
2) whn other external hdd plug into my laptop, the same issue occur, then i realise it maybe happen due to my laptop.
This mean if i change the drive path, only my laptop can use the hard disk, i can use the external HDD to other laptop but need to change drive path in tat particular laptop, it is annoying!

Please help how to solve this issue? any setting conflict in my laptop?

I just newly purchase the said laptop model.
Regarding the built in battery, i wonder is it ok to "left" it like that?
Because from my previous experience, i will unplug the battery when i use it at home.
But this model the battery is built in, so is there anything tat i need to aware to ensure the battery long lasting?

hi guy, i am planning to buy the said lense & do survey in 3 different place.
i) Pudu Plaza =　RM1870 (2 years warranty)
ii) Subang Parade = RM 1600 (2 years warranty)
iii)Lowyat = different pricing, the lowest i get is RM 1450 (1 year warranty).
I wanted to buy the lowest price, but i scare i buy the "fake product". I also hear that got 2 different dealers in
malaysia, so the warranty period & price is different.
How true is it? Appreciate if anyone can give advise?

hi, my laptop suddenly appear those two thing: system volume information and recycle, n i try delete them bt cnt. i try google around and use the method tat suggest by other web, but still cnt rid of it, do u guy have any method to remove it?

and wat is those 2 things will affect our laptop? so far i c it will auto create "destop" file in my forlder or will "exact" song photo ......

when we click My Computer , it will show MY COMPUTER top left corner , right?
but it only show the first letter , My Computer to M , or any other folder such as name as (Picture - P , Song - S)
