Perhaps it is time for us to look into Power Generation stocks.

Cypark and ytl power are both trading at single PE

Personally I prefer YTL power for its stable income and DY
IT'S diversified business it countries like UK / singapore etc. I strongly believe it's next quarter results will be great especially during weakening OF MYR

Besides I like Cypark for its massive growth potential in Renewable Energy business.

For myself, I will reinvest my dividend income from ytl power to cypark.

CHINA BANKING STOCK
First of all i think most of us know about the shadow banking in China and the china government are taking measures to control this.

However, i found that most of these china banks are trading at PE of around 5 times and dividend yield of more than 5%.

As we all know banking stocks are very volatile and their performance are pegged with the economy. When market is good ppl tends to borrow and very less NPL as ppl use to pay their loan on time. However, when economy turn bad that is the challenging part as loan will start to default.

I believe most of you have read the book "The china rules the world" which illustrates how china economy is going to overtook US in the next decade...

So for me the most direct way to bet on china economy is bet on their banking stocks. To cushion this, i would choose those top china banks with network not only in china.... E.g. ICBC, Bank of China.

To be frank i have pump in ICBC shares today at HKD 4.60.

From Jim Rogers : If you were smart at the start of the 19th century, you made your way to London. If you were smart at the start of the 20th century, you moved to New York. And if you are smart at the start of the 21st century, you will find your way to Asia.

JOHOR TIN (7167)

If you have invested RM 3900 into this counter during 2003 / 2004. Your investment are worth RM 47000 today. It is not 100% return but more than 1000% return within 10 years.

This is excluding the dividend payout.

Perhaps you can guess which counter i am referring to. Yes, it is Duth Lady a consumer stocks which start with producing condense milk.

I am not going to stress much on Dutch lady here as most of us are aware of the exponential growth of this stock. However, i believe investment is more to finding the next “Dutch Lady” or “Public bank” etc.

Johortin - Company Profile

Johore Tin Berhad (JTB) was incorporated in Malaysia on 22nd November 2000 as a public limited company under the Companies Act, 1965.
WILMAR INTERNATIONAL

COMPANY PROFILE

Wilmar International Limited, founded in 1991 and headquartered in Singapore, is today Asia's leading agribusiness group. Wilmar is ranked amongst the largest listed companies by market capitalisation on the SGX.

Wilmar's business activities include palm oil cultivation, oilseeds crushing, edible oils refining, sugar milling and refining, specialty fats, oleochemicals, biodiesel and fertilizers manufacturing and grains processing. At the core of Wilmar's strategy is a resilient integrated agribusiness
modeal that encompasses the enture value chain of the agricultural commodity processing business, from origination and processing to branding,
merchandising and distribution of a wide range of agricultural products. It has over 450 manufacturing plants and an extensive distribution
network covering China, India, Indonesia and some 50 other countries. The group is backed by a multinational workforce of over 93,000 people.

For those who are interested in Oil Palm and consumer product, perhaps you can consider this counter.

Some of the Key Brands under Wilmar associates FFM in Malaysia are e.g. Neptune Cooking Oil, Seri Murni, Krystal Cooking Oil, Marina, Massimo, V-soy Milk, Massimo Bread etc...

WILMAR EARNINGS TRACK RECORD

Base on above table, revenue almost 10 folds within 7 years period and same goes for Earning per share. The decline in 2012 earnings was mainly contributed by decline in crushing margin (High Soybean Price) and Overcapacity in China crushing capacity in Oil Seeds segment. However, part of the decline in contribution from Oil Seed segment was being offset by Sugar Segment as shown in table below and i foresee the oil seeds segment will recover soon once soft commodities price soften.

INCOME STATEMENT

PLANTED AREA GROWTH

RCECAP (9296)

RCECAP 9296

Reasons for me to pick up RCECAP

As of 31-December-2009.

1. NET ASSET PER SHARE = 50 CENTS.

2. 3 Months EPS ended 31-December-2009 2.67 CENTS. Base on 2.67 cents we can roughly project 2010 EPS to be around 10.68 cents.

My entry price 67 cents. Which is trading at PE of around 6.27 TIMES!!!

Remarks : As the interest payment is expected to be a constant income so we don expect reduce in EPS in future.

EPS TRACK RECORD

2003 -5.89 CENTS (Just started their Ah Long business)

2004 4.09 CENTS (Adjusted for bonus issue and share split)

2005 2.78 CENTS (Adjusted for bonus issue)

2006 3.69 CENTS (Adjusted for bonus issue)

2007 9.98 CENTS

2009 9.36 CENTS

2010 (E) 10.68 CENTS

EPS will not really reflect in terms of growth as there are a lot of bonus issue and share split just for reference purpose. Net Profit will be the right tool to gauge RCECAP GROWTH RATES.

This counter had been sliding from its highest of RM 5.00 and trading at PE OF 7.X at current pricing of 2.75.

Nature of business:

PALM OIL
SUGAR REFINERY
RICE TRADING

Plan to speculate on this counter as SYED MOKHTAR has a lot of political links. Eventhough the buying price for bernas was RM 2.08 per share from Wang Tak which is considered quite high but i believe SYED MOKHTAR will do something on this. You can see it from the recent sugar price hike.

I believe this counter will easily touch RM 5.00 when the market bull run.

All sifus here pls share your view. I am planning to top up slowly on this counter.

Malaysia Tax System

Taxation is one section that investors must not neglect. So i hope those expert in taxation can contribute their opinion and answer our questions here.

QUOTE

THE new corporate tax system is called the STS because profits earned by companies are only taxed once, i.e. on the company that gained those profits. When

that company declares dividends, the profits thus distributed are no longer taxable on the shareholders of the company. In contrast, under a TTS, companies pay

normal corporate tax on their profits. Dividends distributed by those companies are not tax exempt and shareholders are again taxable thereon whether at their

marginal rates or some reduced rate in respect of dividends. This creates a TTS because profits earned by companies are taxed twice – once at the company

level and later in the hands of the shareholder who receives a distribution of profits by way of a dividend. A TTS will discourage payment of dividends, especially

in the case of family-controlled companies. Malaysia's current imputation system of taxation looks through companies and views their shareholders. Although

companies are taxable, their profits are not taxed twice because tax paid by companies is imputed to shareholders when dividends are paid. Thus, to the extent

that corporate earnings are distributed, these profits are taxed in the hands of shareholders at their marginal tax rates, with a credit allowed for the relevant

corporate tax paid earlier. However, double taxation does arise under the current imputation system of taxation in the case of non-residents who are unable to

claim credit in their home countries in respect of tax deducted or deemed deducted from dividends.

Don't pass on something that's attractive today."

Sitting facing each other in an auditorium filled with nearly 1,000 cheering people at Columbia University in New York, the CEO of Berkshire Hathaway Inc. and Microsoft founder Bill Gates fielded questions from Columbia Business School students on the recession, investing and what's the next Microsoft.

There were at first reassurances that the U.S. economy had not collapsed since the last time the two sat in front of a student audience, in Nebraska in 2005.

"We proved that we can make mistakes," said Gates.

"But the fundamentals of the system, a marketplace-driven system where we invest in education and a great infrastructure for the long-term, that's continued."

Even in the country's "darkest hour," he said, American businesses were still innovating.

"Last fall was really blindsiding," Buffett said later.

Still, "I did not worry about the overall survival of our economy."

The worst recession since the 1930s may be over, but the recovery isn't expected to be strong enough to stem job losses and get businesses hiring again.

Employers shed a net total of 190,000 jobs in October, a government survey showed Thursday.

It was the 22nd straight month of losses.

And the unemployment rate jumped last month to 10.2 percent, a 26-year high.

Buffett also commended the Bush administration's actions last September, saying "only the government could have saved things" after the collapse of Lehman Brothers triggered a freeze-up in credit markets and panic on Wall Street.

In the future, however, Buffett said "there should be more downside to the head of any institution that has to go to the federal government to be saved for reasons of the greater society. And so far, we have been better at carrots and sticks in rewarding CEOs at the top. But I think some more sticks are called for."

The two endeared themselves to the audience with tips.

Buffett exhorted students to "marry the right person" and said, "The worst investment you can have is cash."

Gates, meanwhile, said he sees big opportunities in environmentally friendly energy and medicine.

"Capitalism is great," he said.

Gates wore a suit and tie, flashing the inner red lining of his jacket as he walked to his chair. Buffett, who earned a master's degree from Columbia in 1951, wore a sweater with the Columbia insignia.

Students in the audience said they were glad the two were so confident about the economy.

"That probably weighs a lot to a lot of people to hear Buffett say we're out of the crisis," said Andrea Basche, an Earth Institute student at Columbia. - AP

So don wait buy as many as you can

YTL CEMENT

Have anyone eyeing on this counter too?

It hits highest price at RM 5.25 and RM 2.02 AT the lowest....

Today closing RM 2.40.

I beliv the price dropped is mainly due to the bleak outlook on the construction sector. Once economy recover this counter will shoot up faster compare to other company under ytl corp.

Below are some info which i manage to find.

1. YTL Cement declared a first interim dividend for the financial year ending 30 June 2009, comprising a 3% gross dividend less Malaysian income tax and a 7% single tier dividend. The book closure date for the interim dividend is 5 January 2009 and the payment date is 20 January 2009.

http://www.ytlcement.com/index/index.html

2. YTL Cement Berhad achieved a 30.9% increase in net profit to RM157.9 million (US$48.6 mil) for the 9 months ended 31 March 2008, compared to RM120.6 million (US$37.1 mil) for the previous corresponding 9 months ended 31 March 2007.

Revenue grew 21.4% to RM1,012.4 million (US$311.5 mil) this year, compared to RM833.8 million (US$256.6 mil) last year. The growth in revenue and profit arose mainly from higher demand for cement in the construction industry, improved operational efficiencies and better selling prices during the period.

My TP to buy will be RM 2.00...

Pls share your view on this counter here.

FOREIGN DIRECT INVESTMENT pros and cons

Main purpose for FDI

- Funding from the foreigners for business expansion, new business from the government to boost our economy.

But the negative side will be :

- Withdrawal of foreign may seems to be a good opportunity for most of us to enter stock market for investment. But
what i concern here is ... the foreign fund normally come in at huge amount and when they withdraw their fund basically our KLSE will tumble, Which means our money is being earn by the foreigners just by "GORENGING" our KLSE....

Doesn't it be better that our government set up some stringent ruling to control the amount of FDI in any single listed company in KLSE? Our total listed companies in KLSE market capitalization may only equal to one company in us or even china. So our KLSE is easily being goreng by FDI....
