http://forum.lowyat.net/ Sat, 06 Jun 2026 05:20:56 +0800 FeedCreator 1.7.2 http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/799722 Actually i was writing this for the Azan thread.., but it&#39;s already been closed., but still i got something to share with you all... readers.. <br /><br />~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~<br />I&#39;m a malay chap.. <br /><br />I grew up in Jalan Kolam air KL.. , kindergarten@ Tiong Nam.., and my afterschool and recess playground is Sri Thantayuthapani Temple Jln Ipoh (right next to my primary school of same name)... <br /><br />Never have my neighbour (chinese and indian) make a fuss at our Azan from our Surau.., and neither did we protest or send petition to Jln Kolam Air Chinese temple which frequently held piglet barbeque and chinese opera in our taman / kampung (it&#39;s a unique setting - taman + kampung intertwined)<br /><br />Every morning we would either be wake up by either Azan Subuh (dawn prayer call) or if we missed that - we can be sure of 7 o&#39;clock Hindu temple bell.. <br /><br />it&#39;s like a music in life.. it become part of you.. you respect other religion and they respect our&#39;s.. <br /><br />Come Raya - be it Malay Aidilfitri , Chinese Gong Xi Facai or Deepavali.. we go to each other houses.. as most of us grew up together.. play together.. <br /><br />and food served already make sure the sensitivity is taken care of - malay guest are given bottled drink or tetra pax drink.. , food are all halal - , and we also serve no beef in respect of our hindu and vegetarian friends.. <br /><br />why in my part of the world.. i can live in harmony with each other.. ? but.. some of us here.. always try to incite racial disharmony.. and religion disrespect.. <br /><br />whether we like it or not - we have been born here - to a multi-racial nation.. where we have to tolerate each other right from we born until we die.. <br /><br />is it very hard to do?<br /><br />~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~<br /><br />is it money and status makes people forget the essence of unity in our country?<br /><br />because i always saw - middle class people have no problem living in harmony with each other races.. no problem at all.. <br /><br />it&#39;s always this politician or some VIP&#39;s or some classy ppl that like to make fuss about this and that.. <br /><br />what do you think.. <br /><br />do share about how you live with each other different races at your place.. how different it is?<br /><br />do you also felt that azan is annoying??<br /> morpheuzneo Serious Kopitiam Wed, 24 Sep 2008 01:13:34 +0800
