I just assembled my metalware mobo AAS48AS7-V2 to my machine, everything works fine with integrated graphic Radeon X300.

Now i bought a NVIDIA 8600GT pci-e graphic card, but once i plug it in the pci-e 16x slot, the system is unable to boot.

Normally, once i press the power switch, the LED on board lights up and hav a beep sound follow by the starting process.

Now with 8600GT plug in, LED will still lights up after power switch is pressed, but then no more beep sound, monitor shows nothing but LED's blinking, and the cd-rom (or floppyii drive if cd-rom is removed), the integrated LAN port have their LED keep blinking too. In the end i can only press and hold the power switch to turn off the machine.

Is there anything to do with BIOS? My bios is Phoenix Award v6.00.

i found not much settings about PCI-Ex, the only thing i've changed is Init Display First, from PCI to PCIEx.

Is it possible the conflict problem between integrated graphic & onboard graphic? i dont know how to disable the integrated graphic in bios ...

Any help will be appreciate, thanks in advance.

Networking Mac with PC

Hey, can anyone teach me how to connect a Mac to a PC?

What i have now :

An Apple iBook with Mac OS X 10.4
A Desktop with Microsoft XP SP2
A Cross-cable

The cross-cable have no responce when i plugged it in my PC's network card. But if i used the ordinary cable (PC to PC), the yellow light of the network card will glow.

Another thing is, when the networking is done, where to find the shared folder (like in Microsoft XP) in Mac OS?

i am a newbie in networking and i afraid that i can't understand some computer terms in networking. So, can anyone please show me the simplest way to do that?

Sorry for disturbing, and Thanks in advanced.
