KUCHING: A cargo ship carrying 500 tons of general merchandise was reported missing in the South China Sea on Saturday during its voyage from Kuching to Limbang.

Chairman of the Sarawak region Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA)First Admiral Ismaili Single Pit, said a cargo ship registered under the name of 'Sah Lian' departured from Kuching Port on September 2 and scheduled to arrive at Limbang Port on September 5.

The ship was reported missing by its owner when it failed to arrive at the Limbang Port on its scheduled arrival date. The matter was later informed to the authorities.

According to Ismaili, the owner of the ship has last contacted the captain on September 3 and was informed that the journey was smooth.

However, after realizing its disappearance, the owner tried to contact the crew but failed.

MMEA Sarawak launched a search and rescue mission for the ship’s 14 crew and one captain.

The ship’s last known location was at Tanjung Sirik in the waters of Belawai, Sarikei.
It is too early to link the incident with the kidnapping or pirate attack

yesterday evening, my brother went to midvalley from kl sentral by komuter. inside the komuter train , he felt someone is touch his pocket, he just know is samsung s3 phone is kena stolen . luckily the dompet still safe. he call the operator to terminate the sim card. got any way that can totally disable the phone , so the theif can not use the phone?
