Im not here to get feedback like, if you are in relationship you should work things out, comprise each other and bla bla bla. I need sincere answer to those who have experience being in love with a person and answer whether is OK or NOT OK. I need you to specify your gender as well to understand from a male or female perspective.

Story:
Just had a big argument with my partner, i asked him one last time. He was planning an overseas trip (SEA) with his very close highschool friends, mixture of males and females. He told me he cant bring me for reason maybe their friends are not comfortable with me tagging along yet, probably it will be awkward since all of them are single, so he told me he will not be bringing me. How should i react. He answered, i should feel nothing and happy that he is going to a holiday with his friends.

OK or NOT OK.

Edited with extra info: We havent been on an overseas trip together before, therefore im considering why not he make the effort to secure our relationship first before going with his friends? Most of the feedback are for couples that has dated years or married. But our relationship is less than a year. Therefore i feel its not stable yet, and i have a lot of insecurities.

My thoughts:
Logically yes i should be happy for him, but emotionally no. so i need whether judgement should be made between logical reasoning or emotionally attached to a person.

Deep inside me, if i feel happy for him, im doubting myself that i dont really have feelings and only see him as a friend. But emotionally no, because im clingy af which sounds crazy. If im reasonable enough to let him go, probably this will not be the first and more to come. There is no memories to share with him, but only with his friends. In a way, im disappointed he chose his friends over me which kinda make me jealous. i know it sounds ridiculous but when love hits me, it can sound really stupid when i talk about it again if im done with him.

To those of you who had misunderstood me, a few points:-
- No, im not stopping him from going the trip. I want him to go.
- No, we are giving each other a lot of space. We only meet during the weekends.
- Yes, im clingy. But he is clingy as well, he wants me to attend every friend gathering he has which i had no objection. But not this trip.

Yes its going to be an awkward trip for me to go, i do not want to join the trip myself. The thing im making a big out of it is because, he didnt ask me whether if im OK or NOT OK. He doesnt ask what im feeling right now. He should comfort me more by doing things more first, if he wants to go with the trip. This is what im expecting. Everyone have emotions, i respect his and i hope he respects mine too.
