Philips TV LED 40PFL6606H/12 subtitle problem

Hi all,
Anyone encounter problem displaying subtitle on Philips TV LED 40PFL6606H/12?

My brother recently bought this TV since got offer for RM2,499 at SEC Penang, but encounter
the USB cannot displaying .srt subtitle from Pendrive and Portable HDD.

Try looking with TV setting but still cannot find how to make it's view the .srt subtitle eventhough the subtitle name same as the movie name ( movie.avi & movie.srt ).
Anyone can help us?

Hi all,
I only subscribe to Digi bb, can I connect to the 4 port output of 3G/3.75G Wireless N Router ( TP-LINK TL-MR3420 ) to the
Samsung Blu-ray Player.
Coz the Samsung bd player C5500 have the LAN connection to internet.

My input is using USB Digi Broadband ( Huawei e1550 ).
As I know, if using USB BB the router can wifi.

Broadband USB >>3G Router WIFI >>>WIFI

My question is , can it wifi and at the same time output via cable from 4 port of the router?

Hi all,
I would like to know,??

is it to get good sound we need to have good amp since good amp can decode to better sound eventhough the sound come from " cap Ayam"

or

We need to have good DVD player ( eg. Pioneer 610 or Pioneer 410 ) so our Amp can just amplified the sound.

Please advise, since I'm still newbie in Home Theater. FYI I'm using Yammy RX-V361 only.

My yammy cannot turn ON last Saturday during raining. Suspect 'Kena" lightning.

Hi,
Well actually i'm new in photo or camera. Currently using point and shoot camera Canon Powershot A430 4.0MP /4X Optical.
But I'm not satisfied with the picture or photo quality.
I heard DSLR is better than normal digital camera, but didn't know and no experiance using DSLR.
After read this forum I'm interested and planning to buy Nikon D40 including the kit.

Need your guys opinion and suggestion :-

1) How the quality of picture/photo comparing with my current camera A430 4MP ( Nikon D40 6MP ). Is it like " earth and sky"

2) Is it good for beginer like me?

3) How much the current price in Penang?

4) Any forumer in Penang know where can get best price camera D40 in Penang?

Hi,
I'm newbie here, currently I'm using my Yammy Rx-V361 with the Yammy satelite speaker NS-P110.
Sound Ok but still not satisfied yet, since I use to watch movie.
When i become this member of this forum,
finally I know which AVR were the best and some big speaker will produce more sound quality.
From my observation I found that Yammy RX-v663 were the best with value for money since my low AVR RX-V361 do not have input/output for
HDMI ( for future use) .
But I cannot afford to buy new RX-V663 since just baught it last 5 month ago, and if i buy RX-V663 ( below 2K) i also need to buy good front speaker only that also will cost another min1K.

So what I'm planning to do is upgrade my speaker first, especially the front speaker first.
Planning to buy the floorstand speaker than mix up with my current satelite speaker.

Maybe I need to but PSB Alpha T1 speaker first or maybe other brand of center speaker.
After got some money , slowly then i will upgrade to rx-v663.

What do you guys think?
Or maybe i need to buy other brand of floorstand speaker that can match with my future avr ( RX-V663 )?
Please advice.

Can Yamaha RX-V361 mix 6ohm with 8ohm speaker?

Hi,
My receiver is Yamaha RX-v361 with Yamaha satelite speaker NS-P110 ( 6ohm).
My setup was speaker A using satelite sepaker (6ohm) and Speaker B using old hifi speaker ( Philips ) 8 ohms.

When i listen to this old hifi speaker ( 8ohms), I feel the sound that produces from this speaker better than satelite speaker.
My question is, can I mix the 8 ohm speaker with 6 ohm speaker, because my yamaha receiver indicate on the rear side to be use with 6 ohm speaker.

I cannot set the impedance for the speaker at the receiver as other better Yamaha receiver, since my one is low budget receiver.

If can mix, plan need to upgrade the front speaker to floorstand 8 ohm speaker.
Budget around 1K, maybe u all can advice which speaker can be use with my budget.

Hi,
Anyone use yamaha receiver RX-V363 with other brand of floor standing speaker?
Please share your opinion and experiance.

Coz I'm using the satelite speaker from Yamaha NSP-110 ( 6ohm) but sound still not satisfied me especially the treble sound eg.glass break and sword fighting sound.
The sound not too sharp and clear.
Need opinion which low budget speaker can sound better?rather than yamaha satelite speaker.

Hi,
I'm newbie in this forum.
I have a low budget HT Yamaha RX-V361( 5.1 Ch) and satelite package also from Yamaha NSP 110.
But from my observation the sound produce from this set of speaker still not so clear.

I think i need to change to floor stand speaker ( 3 way or 2 way system )which will produce great sound.
But i'm not sure whether this will help since my a/v still low budget HT.

Already checked the Wharfadale speaker diomond8.4 cost around 1.5K.
But not sure will match with my receiver or not.

Need your guys opinion or suggestion which brand of floor speaker will help for great sound.
My budget around RM1k to 2K.
