Sick of Career

I'm constantly feeling burnt out doing what I do not really enjoy for 15 years... is it a good idea to try and change career path plus take pay cut to start anew? I have painstakingly saved and invested to get some passive income averaging 4-5k/month, no house though just renting... i think I'm suffering from mid life crisis... =/

Working overseas, buy or wait?

Hi all, I'm working overseas now and have the intention of coming back to retire. Question is, should I be buying a property now or buy only when I need it in the future? Looking at highrise for now...

Asking because generally I feel that:
1. Appreciate is slow/non-existent
2. From a foreign currency point of view, possibility of a loss in value is very real as seen from the steep depreciation of MYR
3. Rental yield is poor vs other investments say stocks

Feel free to correct me. And what advice would you give in terms of buying now vs future? Thanks!!

I'm kinda sick of my working life, it's like a never ending repetitive cycle. I have tried changing jobs and while they're almost always fresh and exciting initially, I find myself going back to the state of asking myself what's the meaning of all this.

Which compact mirrorless camera?

Hi all,

Looking to buy a camera as my Olympus Pen EPL7 is failing. As i know close to nothing about cameras, could you recommend a mirrorless model that's compact and practical for travelling/backpacking? My budget is around RM1.5k and I don't mind a second hand one.

mechanical engineer, sick of it

I'm an engineer in mid 30s and really sick of it, looking to learn new skills and don't mind starting all over but I don't know what I'm interested in anymore, just extremely jaded. I mainly do technical design and drawings with CAD. I've saved up enough to last 5 years at least.

Simple question is, has any mechanical engineer here started from scratch? What direction did you take? Opinions/criticisms are welcome. Thanks.

i have never really liked my industry but i told myself earlier on that i should build up some savings before trying anything drastic. Just like that 10 years have since passed and I'm finally near running out of patience with work.

Is it still realistic to attempt a change in career path?

C2D E4400 + Asrock 775Dual-VSTA o/c result

recently my p4p800-x died without warning, i had to get a replacement asap as my family members use the com very frequently especially my dad who surfs klse.com.my for hours almost daily... having read so many good reviews about the asrock i convinced my dad to fork out a lil bit more $$$ for the mobo and processor.. a total of RM690..

With the mobo i managed to o/c the E4400 to 2.950GHz with my ddr400 running at 4:3 that is 221MHz.. unfortunately beyond FSB295 it's not Prime stable. This is by no means a great OC for a C2D but i get to keep my AGP card and DDR400 mems (although i plan to get DDR2 soon *Update: Already got them! YAY! )... overall i'm very satisfied with this combo... it's fast, it's stable and more importantly it's cheap... i couldnt have asked for more.... anyone with very limited budget could consider this...

p4p800-x cold boot problem

hi guys, i have a p4p800-x and my system wont cold boot whenever i set the vcore to above the proc's default. I'm suspecting the crappy PSU (icute 450w), but need confirmation before i get a new psu as i'm almost outta $$$ already... so can anyone
confirm this? thanks
