Hi All,

I am planning to have a trip from Malaysia KL -> Hong Kong.
The who trip is to drive your car to the destination. Not backpacking...

The Fact
======================
This is a return trip.
The trip will skip most of the sight seeing in Thailand. And will only focus in Loas, China & HK.
The return journey will tried to avoid the same route. Which most probably, will overnight in difference town.
The trip will cover 9000km for 14 to 17 days.
Thailand coastal road is good enough, and not much of highway, but the petrol is about RM3 to 3.50 litre for Ron95
Loas have no highway, road condition are so-so, and petrol price is unknown.
China will have to use the highway, because the coastal road is zigzac, the highway price are about 10% more to malaysia highway rate. The petrol price is less than RM3 litre.
External vehicle are not allow to enter to HK, it require special permission.

The stay
======================
Will stay in 2 or 3 star hotel or above
RM 200 per night average.(15 days * 200 = RM 3000)

The Drive
======================
9000KM approx
As average for long distance travel 15KM/L, So you need 600 litres of petrol.
600 litres will cost you RM 2000.(Based on the average RM 3 per litre)
*My smart car is doing 25KM/L, so normal car is doing around 15-17KM/L.

The Car
======================
Better get a new car for this trip.
*I have a 2 years old smart fortwo, but not suitable for this trip. And peugoet 206 is quite old already...
So, I suggest and cheap car and a new only. Proton Savvy 1.2 (RM 33K only).
Savvy comes with Renault Engine(European Car tend more durability), lotus engineer handling.
Perferable 2 person a car.

The Meal
======================
I have done a series of research since 2 year ago. We will eat anything which is famous around the town, we pass or stop by.
The meal will cost RM1000 each person. (15 days, 3 Meals a day, RM20 per meal on average)

The Trip
======================
We will Skip Thailand for sightseeing.
Loas is a place very similar to Thai in my knowledge. But we can try to learn thier culture.
China, we will visit a few AAAAA and AAAA sightseeing places, like rock jungle in Yunnam.
Hong Kong, Disney land, house of wax and of course, shopping.(Dont worry, we have a car can pickup our baggage, dont worry about the weight, haha)
We will only use highway in China and Malaysia (The toll RM 1000, max)

The Travel Partner

Which is my gf & I.
I am a consultant to Shell Malaysia Trading.
And we travel a lot by overland. (Malaysia Penisular and to Phukut)
I am friendly, talk loud, talk crazy but i am always cool.
Smoker & social drinker.

The Cost

Petrol - RM 2000
Meal - RM 1000
Toll - RM 1000
etc - RM 1000

In total is 8k for 1 person and 10k for 2 person(because you are using the same car and staying in the same room).
*Above are calculate in Maximum expenses, or so call max estimation.
*etc, cover your transfer in HK, and entrance fee to disney and house of wax, and so on.

*I am not making any money out of this, you join the trip, and you keep your own money.

Kumming -> GuiYang

GuiYang -> Guilin

Guilin-Shen Zhen or Guang Zhou

7th Day
Shen Zhen -> Hong Kong (Might not drive in to HK, because HK require special permission for outsider vehicle, for your information, HK dont even allow China vehicle to enter. So, most probably travel by train to Kowloon Station)

8th Day
HK - Free & Easy (Disneyland, SightSeeing & Shopping) -> Back to Guang Zhou(only stay a night in HK to reduce cost)

9th Day
Guang Zhou -> Nanning

10th Day
Nanning -> Kumming

11th Day
Kumming -> Vientiane or Lao Probang

12th Day
Vientiane -> Bangkok

13th Day
Bangkok -> Krabi

14th Day
Karbi -> KL

3 days buffer, so i would be a 17 days trip.
