Astro Issue

posted in home entertainment but no response even after 1 day. i think ktard army is better. i, I would like to ask some opinions from you guys:

1) I stay in a condo and the condo management said our dish is old dish and cant support Astro Beyond. The building is only 4 years old.

2) I subscribed astro beyond. 3rd party installer came and said that the HD quality i.e. Signal Strength is there and Signal Quality is not-available for HD. Say he needs to go inside riser to do the settings and I will be able to enjoy HD. But installer also mentioned the management wont allow other people to go in.

3) I speak to the management again and they said no way hosey can get HD.

4) I found out later that there is a contract between Astro and Time to offer IPTV. I investigate further and supplier doing IPTV Astro-Time rejected my request due to high Non-Standard Installation Charges ie RM1400.

5) I go to the management again. They said Time has laid the fibre optic cable bla bla crap. So must go thru Time ie subcribe IPTV.

6) I rest my case.

7) Today Lee Chong Wei badminton finals. I scroll thru the channel. And TA-DAAAAAA I am able to tune into chanel Astro Arena HD 802. In full HD. so nice nya.

8) But other HD chanel not available.

9) Call astro for help. They said 1st time encounter this. And Chanel Arena HD 802 is a new chanel. They will send a technician to check. I will try to arrange the management people to be around.

10) I sense the management is playing balls.

11) Can you guys enlighten me what should i be aware of? The 1st time the astro installer already mentioned to me that the HD signal is available. Now i ada proof.

Please kindly comment and advise.

Full Blu Ray interactive menu?

Anyone can enlighten me on which mediA player is capable of playing full blu ray interactive menus?
I am sick of bd lite already. Very che kai.
WAnt to upgrade to a better one. Was thinking a dune or popcoen or xtreamer ultra 2.

I have a bluray home theatre system.
I buy a lot of original amazon blu ray disc.

When i play the disc it doesnt really look like a blu ray, its good quality but not really superb.
however, when i play 1080p (20GB) files on PlayOn Media Player, it looks absolutely gorgeous and superb.
just like real HD.

any sifus know why?

Hi guys, just got approval from my company to replace my dell vostro laptop.

The IT guy is telling me to get the new Vostro 131. But i saw some new ultrabooks which looks good.

I surfed the net and found these 2 models which is good. What are your guys view?

Usage purely for download (torrent), MS Office and Email Client.

btw can the SSD stand the heat if i d/l 24/7 for torrent?

Just recently got UNIFI for my condominium.

Applied for the cheapest unifi i.e. 5mbps .

Currently experiencing a download speed of approximately 550kB/s. about half a megabyte / second.
Under torrent can hit around 0.65mb/ second.

Just want to check with you guys is this normal download speed for unifi 5mbps package or am i getting throttled?

Dear Gurus,

Recently i suspect my unifi kena hack. Cause when i left my laptops idle, the Dlink is still flashing like mad. So i went to restart the router and check the log. I checked the Dlink Router and found out the log below.

Please advise on how to prevent this muthafarker from attacking me again. is it good enough to change the passsword?
Or do i need to set up something else?

Need to login to company VPN

Dear all gurus

Need your help.
Just installed unifi, I have deleted all my laptop cache,history etc.
Now I am unable to surf the Internet with my laptop, unless I login into my Company VPN.
Even after login to VPN, the unifi speed is very slow like dial up.

But I can still access unifi with good speed on my iPad.

My accord sound system is quite sucky. The sound is like muffled or something. I tried to adjust it but to no avail.

Have been using the above for 6 months and this morning out of nowhere the Internet LED which suppose to be Green ...turns into red...tired restarts several time both the pc and modem still it is not fixed. Checked the modem settings and it says

PPP authentication failed!

I am planning to get the o2 zinc, as it has all the features I need, but sadly it runs under WM5 instead of WM6.

I need all of you guru advise on this... Is the OS upgradeable in the future? If o2 do not provide this service can we do it ourself?

Or do you think WM6 features is just marginal against WM5? Or better still can someone help to list out the pro and cons of WM5 vs WM6. I have tried searching this forum for some answers but I don't seem to be able to find it. Help help..
