Socso EIS/Skim Insurans Pekerjaan

Hi guys,

My company decided to release me as part of downsizing exercise. I want to apply SOCSO EIS, where they ask u 'Tarikh kehilangan pekerjaan'. Tarikh kehilangan pekerjaan means the day after your last day of employment.

So here's the confusing part;

1. 1st notice on 14 Jan, stated our last day is 14 Mac (2 month notice)
2. 2nd notice on 30th Jan, stating management decided to release us earlier and our last day is 31st Jan.

FYI; company is paying in lieu of that 2 months notice, which will be paid out by 15 Feb.

Physically, I'm unemployed now. So which one is my last day of employment, 14th Mac or 31st Jan?

I'm interested to get a cheap dual lens phone. I assume most (or maybe all) dual lens phone have the ability to capture real time 'potrait mode' bokeh photos. Nevermind the bokeh is 'fake' AF and nowhere near DSLR. It's just a cool feature to have.

My list below;

1. Mi 6 RM1899
2. Honor 8 RM1399/RM1599
3.
Malaysia keen to hire Bangladeshi workers

After lifting the ban on recruiting foreign workers, Malaysia has expressed its eagerness to take workers from Bangladesh for construction, plantation and manufacturing sectors, and the process would start ‘very soon’.

Visiting Malaysian Human Resource Minister Datuk Seri Richard Riot Anak Jaem said this during a meeting with Bangladesh’s Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Nurul Islam in Dhaka on Tuesday, the ministry said in a statement.

The Malaysian minister said at the meeting that his country would take workers from Bangladesh 'very soon' initially in three sectors –construction, plantation and manufacturing, according to the ministry statement.

The two sides agreed on a government-fixed rate for sending workers to Malaysia, the statement added. However, it did not mention how much a worker will have to spend to go to Malaysia with a job.

They also discussed the possibility of sending workers through the recruiting agencies that had been listed earlier by the ministry.

Earlier in February, just twelve hours after signing of an agreement between Riot and Nurul on Feb 18, Malaysia had announced that it would not take any foreign worker, which left the deal in a limbo.

In September, Malaysia lifted the ban partially by announcing that it would allow importing manpower in four sectors - construction, plantation, manufacturing and furniture-making industries, opening the door for Bangladeshi workers.

Malaysia is one of Bangladesh's most important labour markets.

The Expatriates’ Welfare ministry statement said that Minister Nurul vowed to uproot the 'syndicate of agents' that dupes workers seeking jobs in Malaysia.

"We will not give the opportunity to only a few recruiting agencies, but ensure sending of workers through the experienced and renowned ones those who had sent workers earlier," it quoted the minister as saying in the meeting.

http://bdnews24.com/bangladesh/2016/11/15/...g-minister-says

Architect sorry for littering,

http://www.thestar.com.my/News/Nation/2015...ver-FB-posting/

KUALA LUMPUR: An architect has apologised over a posting on Facebook that showed him littering in an LRT coach.

The posting on Aug 5 by Shane Chiam, showing the man seated on a priority seat with a soiled tissue on the floor near him, has been shared 7,000 times.

The man, who only wanted to be known as Chan W.C., 39, said he boarded the Kelana Jaya line Putra LRT at around 9am on Aug 5.

“I cleaned some dirt off my shoes and as there was no rubbish bin in the LRT (coach), I left the tissue on the floor.

“Suddenly a guy approached me and demanded that I pick up the tissue,” he told reporters at the MCA public complaints bureau here yesterday.

He said he ignored the man but claimed that he picked up the tissue when he reached his stop and threw it away.

“I thought that was the end of it but the next day my colleague informed me that a picture of me had been posted on Facebook with the caption: ‘This guy sits down, takes a tissue out, pours water on it then wipes his shoes. He then tosses it to the side. After asking him several times to pick up his trash, he puts on his headphones and ignores me. Definitely cacat akal (retarded). What’s funny is that after wiping his shoes, he takes a pic of it. Showing off his clean shoes to his admirers I guess.’”

Chan said the caption did not tell the whole story, adding that he felt it had caused people to wrongly judge him.

“I admit it was wrong of me to throw the tissue on the floor but I made up for it by throwing it in the rubbish bin when I got off the LRT.

“I have made a police report over the posting and sent an e-mail to the Malaysia Communications and Multimedia Commission,” he said, adding that he did so because there were several threatening comments in the Facebook posting.

He said he hoped that the Facebook user who had originally posted his picture and the message would take down the post.

Asked about the fact that he was seated in a priority seat, Chan said there were no pregnant women, senior citizens or disabled persons who needed the seat at the time.

“I would have given up the seat if necessary,” he said.

Bureau chief Datuk Seri Michael Chong said some Facebook users were acting as judge, jury and executioner.

“Posting such a thing is not wrong but the user could have blurred Chan’s face instead of publicly shaming him,” he said, adding that there was no reason to publicly humiliate Chan as he had picked up the tissue and disposed of it correctly later.

Shopping for PDA (minus the phone function)

Guys,

I've been using various symbian phones before this, and after selling my 5800xm I used my mom's spare phone; a basic nokia camera phone. Then I realised how I miss the practicality of such simple phone; small, lightweight, fast, easy to operate.

So now I intend to stick to the phone, but still my job requires me to have access to internet and gps for some traveling. Problem is, I end up bumping with either a symbian or winmo pda 'phone'.

I just need a pda with wifi, gps and a decent camera without the phone function. ability to dl and read pdf file should be helpful as well.

Any suggestion and budget? i dont need anything powerful coz it'll be used occasionally only; in between meeting with clients, lunch and probably last email check before bed.

Introduction of Proton Saga / Iswara

The Proton Saga is the first car produced by Malaysian auto manufacturer Proton, based on the 1983 Mitsubishi Lancer Fiore. It first debuted in September 1985. The first Proton Saga that rolled off the production line was presented to the Malaysian National Museum as a symbol of the beginning of the Malaysian automotive industry.

Since then, the Proton Saga and its variants contributed to most of Proton's sales and revenues. The Saga variants are also popular among Malaysian taxi drivers and operators who need cheap vehicles with good fuel economy. The Saga is currently the longest surviving brand in a line of cars offered by Proton.

Saga / Iswara Owners List

1. kahheng (29/09)
2. chowdm
3. singchaii (16/09)
4. apache_utara
5. the_catacombs (15/09)
6. feralee
7. blackpc
8. domo_kun
9. bukanmain
10. ~Battousai~
11. ceo684
12. edtan5
13.
credit card trouble

A friend of mine is currently in trouble becoz he cant pay one of his credit card issued by an international bank based locally. The outstanding amount is roughly rm6k. His business is doing bad for the past 1 year, and he decided to stop paying this particular bank since he's only able to service the others (2 other cc, 1 personal loan, 1 hp).

Problem is;
1. once a week collection will call him, to which he answered the same (no money) and hung up.
2. almost 5 lawyer letters summon to court on different dates, which he ignored.

Probable solution;
1. I ask him to sit down with the bank, and nego installment, but he say no point, he can only afford to pay rm10 per month (the rest of his money need to feed his family), which they will never accept.
2. I ask him to appear at the court, and let the court decide and again he answered as above.

His plan is;
1. concentrate on whatever he have left now, and pay up all the remaining credit card, which might take another 2~3 years to settle, before discussing with this particular bank for the outstanding payment.
2. ignore the collection calls.
3. ignore the lawyer letter.

But my worry is, what will happen if he continue avoiding the lawyer letter? will they come to his house and haul him up? will he be detained by the police or something?

Dont mention about blacklist/CTOS/CCRIS coz he told me it doesnt matter anymore; after all this headaches with loans he doubt he will ever need one again in the future.
