Land dept says house value is too low that

Hi all, have any of you experienced where the bank and private evaluator has priced your property for say, 300k, and then you proceed with the stamp duty, s&p and all with the lawyer when you suddenly get a call from the law firm saying the land dept has rejected this amount and put in a higher price of say, 400k? Possible to appeal to the land dept? Or other alternatives?

Hi all, do you consider rental yield for your property investment? If yes, what is your threshold level?

I am considering getting a 2nd unit for rental income, but my rental yield is just 1% as I will be taking a max 90% loan for 35 years on the cost of the house. Any advise if this is worth an investment. Thanks in advance.

Newbie Need Help Connecting Synology 210j + media

Just bought a Synology 210j. Set up to level one router wbr3460 + media player + TV. But I have a few problems:

1. At first I could detect my nas on the upnp of the media player. A day after that it disappeared, what gives? In the Network section, I have selected the option for getting the network settings automatically from the DHCP server, but this doesn't make any difference for me.

2. I MIGHT have changed the ftp setting on the synology through the dsm, but I re-checked everything back to default. I feel like resetting the nas, but its such a bother cos I'm downloading other stuffs now.

3. I have a 250gb and a 500gb formatted inside the nas. It only shows volume 1 for the 250gb. Is that normal? I can't see the 500gb except under storage management in the dsm.

First post so tell me if I've missed anything, cos it's really frustrating and I have 5 completed downloaded movies that I was hoping to watch this weekend!
