Since there's no thread for V10 which is sold by Yangxi, this thread is being created to hear and discuss about V10 player. I had been a user of hdpro before swapping it with V10, hence here i will list the comparison between both of them

** I only used the player to play movies, so i will do the comparison base on my finding:

speed: V10 got a much faster respond time
interface: V10 only got 1 on/off button on the front panel, whereas HDpro can be play without a remote
remote distance: both V10 and HDpro got a very poor reception, I need to get near to them to control it compare to my TV.
playlist: no more movies playlist for V10.
remote control: V10 remote looks more professional compare to HDpro which is so jumble up.
USB slot: no more card slot(SD) on V10
time&date: HDpro got an option to enter time and date but no on V10
color adjustment: HDpro color setting can be done on setup, but not for V10 which can only be done during movies playback
HDD mounting: no more assemble and screwing of HDD to V10
bug: HDpro giving me a lot of issue, but not on V10 up to day, finger crossed!
LAN: V10 is on GigaLAN and HDpro on 100base

Details of the complaint :

On 11 Dec 2010 seller come to my office for COD and he said he is in a rush to KLIA. I told him I needa test out the thumbdrive and confirmed that it can copy up to 16G data. I went inside my office, of course he is not allowed in as I am not the boss so I told him that it need at least 30mins for the data to get transferred over to the thumbdrive. Seller told me that he is in a rush to KLIA, for sure I don't wanna make him miss his flight to penang just after COD his stuff with me, so I asked him to leave first, and I'll call him if there something wrong with drive. Seller keep mentioning there's no warranty and want me to test it on the spot. I don't mind there is no warranty provided it's a working unit and not a faulty unit that he sells, so testing it up is my responsibility. After around 15mins the file stop to copy over to the drive and it will even hang, and i needa unplug it from the USB and plug it back! Just to double confirm i formatted the drive a few times and things are still the same. I called up the seller asking for refund. I've attached the recorded conversation so guys please judge. He said he will refund back after he came back, but then I got my own schedule and cant meet up with him with his time and the rest of the SMSes are as below.

[GUIDE] HOW TO SECURE YOUR THUMBDRIVE

It's very common for a thumbdrive to be infected by using it on an infected machine, with the famous trojan, AUTORUN.exe!

We can protect our thumbdrive with just this few step. HOW? Format it to NTFS and locked the root directory. Create Folder to store all your file, as autorun.exe will only attack the ROOT and no the folder within. My solution might not be 100% free from virus attack, but is a solution to get less attack!

below are the step needed:

1) plug in the thumbdrive to USB port.
2) go to device manager -> disk drive -> right click on your thumbdrive and select properties
3) go to policy tabs and select Optimize for Performance
4) now you can format your thumbdrive to NTFS format
5) go to control panel -> folder option -> select view tab, scroll to the last line where u will see Use simply file sharing. Uncheck this option.
6) now go to your thumbdrive and create a few folder.
7) right click on the root folder and select sharing & security, go security tab. Uncheck all the option and just check read under Allow row.
8) to the newly created folder, you can give full access, meaning allow every access.

DONE!! now your thumbdrive is SECURE!!!

i've survey around for the current rate that bank is giving. it's roughly around BLR-2% for the whole tenure, which is around 3.5%. and i got an offer of 4.99% fix rate for the whole tenure. My question is, which should i choose??

LOL!!

if i choose BLR-2, when the economy recovered, and BLR shoot up to 8% i will be making a lose. if i choose FIX RATE and the BLR never ever shoot over 7%, then i am making a lose as well. DAMN gambling.

my question is, does bank negara limited the rate of BLR or they can anyhow shoot up and down as they like?
