INVESTMENT BANKING vs RETAIL BANKING?

DEAR ALL,

First of all let me introduce myself ...

I am a fresh graduate which is now working as MORTGAGE SALES OFFICER in one of the local bank in Malaysia.

Basically, this is one of my plan:
1) Get rich before 30
2) Pursue master after 2 or 3 years
3) Gain huge experience in banking industry
4) Be famous

Therefore, I choose banking industry as one of my career to pursue my dreams.

However, the problem is that there are so many position available in banking industry, making me feel confused that whether which is the suitable place for me to go. So I just simply choose to enter SALES but i know that this is not the ultimate place i wanna go.

Can someone provide me some details in banking industry ?

1) Career path of INVESTMENT BANK vs RETAIL BANK
2) Salary range?
3) Which Bank ?

Hi all, I just got an offered from PANASONIC regarding an interview.

It is a sales executive post, but dunno how's the salary.

ANyone can give me some comment about it ??? THanks !!! :

First, I waited for almost 2 hours and the interviewer not even apologized to the applicants and shows some politeness.

Second, after fully understand the job scope, I ask " Can I know how's the salary?", the interviewer reply that "you are just a fresh graduate, dun ask salary during interview and do u think u worth to us paying high salary? your image drop 50% during the time u ask the salary because u r working for the SALARY but not the COMPANY."

Come on man, your applicants want to know whether the salary lvl matches their expectation. This is any employees' right to know the salary before they take the offer EVEN A FRESH GRADUATE!

1+1 not ALWAYS equal to 2 " I ask the salary not equals to I ONLY cares about the SALARY but not the JOB SCOPE. I have the RIGHT TO KNOW.

E.g When u are planning to buy a car, if u don't understand about the car's engines, devices and speeds, how are u going to maintain long term relationships with the car? OR if u are asking about the car's engines price means that u are a money-minded person and have no rights to know about that? F**K

Thirdly, the sales doesn't provide COMMISSION. WTF......

This is the worst interviewer I met in the world. Really ridiculous !!!

Anyone know whether is this a good learning places for management consultancy ?
