Firewall recommendation for SOHO ?

HI,

Any firewall recommended for SOHO ? Just few PCs, NAS, and CCTV. My requirement mainly is to replaced antivirus running on Windows with other better functions like IPS, DDoS threat, etc.

From chatgpt, I kind of narrow down to hardware based e.g. Fortigate 40F, TP Link's Total Security. Any sharing of user experience is much appreciated.

Hi,

Anyone has experience of this Lenovo IdeaPad A3000 (dual sim model) can share ? Is there any other alternative for a big screen (at least Note 2 size) that can support dual sim ?

I see there are some China brands e.g. NEO, UMI, etc but I am not sure which branch is reliable, any recommendation ?

BTW, is there any news (timeframe and spec) for the next model release after Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 ?

Hi,

I need to buy an ultrabook or tablet for travel used, I have an macbook pro 15 and it is just too heavy for me to carry around. My usage during travel are Editing MS Docs, PDF, Using RDP (to access my mac and PC), surf net, watching video, presentation, emails, sms/IM, and other business related usage like good encryption, operating fast and smooth, reliable, long battery life (at least 8 hours), light weight.

At first I am looking at note 10.1 but I am concern over the sync with MACOS and security of android system. Then I look into Ultrabook and need advise to few models like Yoga, Twist, Zen, ATIV, or if there are better value models. I am also concern over the Win 8 compatibility to Mac OS or even Win 7, can some virtual machine resolve this issue and will it run smoothly and fast ?

Advise from people that face/solve similar problem is very much appreciated.

Not sure if this is the right forum as I could not find projector discussion in LYF If not, please advise sud goto which forum.

Need advise to recommend a projector under RM1500 which is reliable/durable ( need to move around), good projection under bright light (exhibition hall) even better under sun light, prefer wxga, quiet, short throw (start fr 4 feet).

Best if can recommend which shop to buy.

Is there a good gadget / software that can provide brightness/contrast of the monitor via onscreen / keyboard ? [I have tried ibrightness but not support in win 7

My monitor is Dell u2312hm. Try to save some work to stretch my hand to the monitor to dim / lighten up via the menu on the monitor.

Laptop has this feature, but what about desktop ?

Need help to setup IPSec VPN

HI,

I need some help/advise to setup IPSec VPN, currently my setup is as below :

IPSec Client (via UMobile) ------> internet --------> UNIFI ------> TP Link 841N ---------> IPSec server (Level One FBR-1430)

Level one support have tested the following which is working :

IPSec client -------> internet -------> streamyx --------> Level One modem router (bridging mode) ----------> IPSec server (Level One FBR1430)

I have already enable all VPN Pass Thru and port forward 500,50,51,4500 and 1723 on the TP Link 841N and also put the IPSec server FBR1430) in the DMZ, however, I am still not able to pass the stage 1 of IPSec. How can I confirm that TP LInk 841N is really let the IPSec pass through or if I have missed out something (I could not find bridging mode in the setup).
