TYRE REVIEW. Zeneos ZN33 Turino

Just thought of putting this in. In no way I am an expert rider or a tyre expert. Just sharing

Tyre : Zeneos ZN33 Turino
Type : "ADV" 30/70
Country of Origin : Indonesia

Bought from : Shopee

Bike : Dominar 400
Riding : Daily commute, Off road gravel, broken tarmac, light mud, high way 140 to 150 cruising speed. Rain or Shine. Bike 190kg, Rider 65kg, Solo with 40kg of panniers, racks and camping gear.

Tyre size : 160/60/17 (Original factory size 150/60/17)
KM on tyre : Approximately 12,000km

Price : between 250 to 300 for Rear 160/60/17

I chose the slighly larger 160/60/17 over the stock 150/60/17 due to the 160 having 1mm extra thread depth, thus longer wear. Need to raise rear fender for clearance.

General Budget single compound "ADV" tyre.

Dry grip: Sufficient to drag pegs easily, but any vagueness is due more to the bike and suspension setup (soft for off road)
Wet Grip. Fairly decent, had a few minor powerslides when on the tyre edge but breakaway is progressive and easily controlled. The deep grooves are good for preventing hydroplaning in heavy standing water
Both dry and wet grip is better than the stock hocky pucks that came on the DOminar. The Zeneos runs softer compound rubber.
Agility: Not a sharp profile so can feel some weight on side to side transitions. But this is not a full on sport tyre, so it is to be expected.

Comfort. Fairly compliant carcase. Running stock 29psi. Not too hard and tyre noise or vibration is not noticeable.

Reliability. Not had a puncture even though close to wear bars and in sharp gravel.

Wear. General standard wear, but the edges are slightly scalloped at 12k km, which is typical of a tyre with separated block design. Does not really affect riding comfort yet.

Mud performance. As with any 30/70 tyre, once you get into clay and mud, all the grooves will pack up leaving you with very little traction. This is no different. Dont expect knobbies performance.

Condition of tyre at 12,000km. Just down to the wear bars. Riding duration about 6 months.

I just ordered a replacement of the same size. Will put it through another 6 months of use.

Reason to buy this tyre : Very few options of this size available for my bike. Typical ADV Tyre for big bikes start from 150/70/17, which is too tall for my bike.

Edit. I have Corsa cross X 100/80/17s on the front. Cheap and good bang for the buck tyre, but after 12k, also started scalloping as with blocky tyres.. So the front end wobbles a bit if I take my hands off while moving 50 to 80kmh. I might switch the front to the zeneus also after I get fed up with the front.

SCAM : Alliance Bank CC

I received 2 calls from this number 03-2698-3431 a few minutes apart.

They claim to be calling from Alliance bank citing that the credit card has outstanding balance.

Once from a cinabeng that barely knows how to handle my english, that hung up after I questioned the "banks" SOP.

Then 15mins later, another call from the same number from a malay dude, which I didn't entertained.

Well I dont have any Alliance banking products and certainly do not have a CC from them, so I called the Bank to verify. Obviously, the Real Alliance bank has no records of me. CS girl at Alliance did mention that she also got a call from a customer about the same thing today.

In retrospec, I should have recorded the call and trolled the 2nd caller more and get more details from them to file a police report.

JUST FYI. Be careful.

Any recommendation for NAS with cloud services

As topic, I am looking for a recommendation for a NAS with cloud services for my SME business. Primary use for backup and file server.

Features needed

1) RAID 1 (2 drive setup)
2) Cloud services/Access (APP for Mobile/Handphone)
3) Backup / Auto backup
4) about 20 logins/users but not heavy use, maybe 3-4 concurrent logins or transfers at any one time.

FTP would be nice but not necessary nowadays.

Synology
Dlink
QNAP

Any recommendation? Pros and Con for each brand/model? Budget about 2k with twin 1TB HDD.

Thanks

Wireless bridge for broadband

Hi Network sifus

Last week was the last straw, a lightning strike that fried not only my modem and router, but also ports on my switch and NAS. Worst is my NAS, since it only has a LAN port, its screwed.

I have a Dlink DIR300 on DDWRT so I'm thinking of this, getting a 2nd DIR300 and flashing DDWRT on it.

Modem ---> 1 DDWRT (WDS/Bridge)---> (((Wireless bridge))) -----> 2 DDWRT (WDS + AP)------>Giga Switch ---->NAS, Computers

The question is, how would I make this work? Any help?

Which DIR300 would be the WAN router to authenticate the PPoe connection for the modem?

With this I hope to protect the rest of my network. So the worst is I loose the modem and the cheap and dispensable DIR300

Thanks
