LCD And Component Cable

Hi everybody,

I'm new, just want to ask you guys about LCD and Component Cable.

I just bought 32" Toshiba LCD yesterday and the technical guy said that if I used component cable from my DVD player to My new LCD the picture would be great. But yesterday the guy only connect the component cable using AV cable (white, red, yellow) from my DVD to the LCD. It works.

So today I went and ask around so I decided to get the component cable (red, green, blue). I get home and plug it. But the problem is that there is nothing different. It's just the same as using the AV cable. What I want is that the picture looks sharp and clear, silky like glass (just like in the electrical shop)

So what should I do? Or what is the problem?

Is it because I use pirate dvd? Or that I should use original dvd.

Or is it because of the component cable, is there a difference? Or

Is it that because of my JVC DVD player is to old? (I bought it 3 years ago)

Or Should i change to a new DVD player?

Or is there a setting in the LCD or DVD that I must do?

Please help me guys?
