Potential RUMAWIP Purchase

I`m quite in dilemma right now, and I hope anyone who is experienced could share their insight & opinion.
I`m a first time house buyer.

my choice of rumawip is between these two

1. Residensi Vista Wirajaya
https://rumawip.kwp.gov.my/project/38/detail

Pro:
- 400m to LRT
- 40m to TARC
- 100m to Kem wardieburn
- Potential to Rent in future due to TARC & Nearby LRT (sublet would be nice)
- Low Density (1 blok 27 tingkat dengan 515 unit kediaman )
- 1km to MRR2
- Near full facilities ( I think this is because DBKL made this place very good for them since they took half of the unit available.
- The unit is on itself, no free price unit that comes with it
Tadika, Taska, Surau, Bilik Jenazah, Pejabat Pengurusan, Bilik Peti Surat, Dewan Serbaguna, Tandas, Taman Permainan, Kolam Renang, Gelanggang Badminton, Laluan Refleksologi, Stesen Kecergasan di luar (Outdoor Fitness Station), Kafe, Dobi dan Kedai.
- Shops are very near

Cons
- LRT Track line is very near to the project, as in right beside it.

2. Residensi Semarak Platinum @ Platinum Splendor
https://rumawip.kwp.gov.my/project/27/detail

Pro:
- Direct Interconnection to DUKE Highway
- School SK & SMK beside project
- Military Camp nearby (chances are no high rise nearby)
- Potential Asset Appreciation (the free price units ranged around 500k+ , so probably in the future will benefit from it)
- Rumors of planned MRT line 3 around that area
- Rumor UTM IT will be built across the duke highway (the UTM land connected to the Siswa Jaya in Setapak Jaya - I use to stay there, I`m a UTM Alumni)
- 4 KM To KL, 6KM to ampang

Cons:
- Rumawip Unit not much facility, the units are separated from the Free Price units Padang Permainan kanak-kanak, Dewan, Kedai, Tadika, Surau, Pejabat Pengurusan, Kafeteria dan sebagainya.
- Shops are far away (you will probably need to travel by car for anything)
- LRT or proposed MRT is somewhat not a walking distance friendly

What makes me think
1. Currently I`m leaning towards wirajaya BUT>....
2. Maybe the Platinum Splendor unit will Appreciate ALOT more compared to Wirajaya, And I feel I`ll miss that chance.
3. Wirajaya might not appreciate much (Maybe) but I do believe the location is very strategic & I will have no problem selling/renting/staying in the future.
4. should I take the safe approach and go for wirajaya? i`m not sure.

Consider pursuing a Master's Degree

Hai guys,

My background:

Diploma : Diploma in Engineering (Electrical - Communication) - UTM
Degree : Bachelor in Engineering (Electrical) - UTM
Working Experience : 5 years
Age : 27

Currently I`m working as an R&D Engineer in Defense / Avionics / Unmanned Systems (UAV)
Basicly my main job is system integration & configuration. My job is not very2 specific, meaning from time to time I also do other works such as design, programming, fabrication, etc, anything that relates to building a UAV from A to Z, I would be somehow involved in it one way or another.

I`m considering to pursue masters (having a competitive edge compare to other candidates in the long run). What my concern is on what course should I pursue in. Below is a few courses that came to my mind (All courses offered by UTM)

1. Master of Engineering (Electrical – Electronics & Telecommunications)
- I could still stick to elec engineering
- Better choice if would like to become a lecturer on day? no? (mean i have pure electrical background to justify a position as a lecturer) - I`m not sure if got this right.

Concerns :
- Electrical Engineering is not easy (my experience in UTM)
- Would like to open my mind to other fields

2. Master of Science (Remote Sensing)
- My current job involves mapping (good to learn new stuff)
- I think combination of technical background and mapping is a good stuff and an edge for my in my current industry)

Concerns:
- Have no idea how i would cope in the new field of study.
- Could I become a lecturer with mixed background of studies?

3. Master in Occupational Safety & Health Management
- Friends in this field are making quite handsome paycheck.
- I`m not sure myself whether I would stick to the drone industry (Looks promising so far)

early 90's engine newly overhauled

Hai guys, recently I just overhauled entirely my engine.

Maker : Daihatsu
Model : L2s
Year made: Most probably 1989? (Its an old engine model)

Changed nearly everything, with new piston and bore abit, metal gasket etc, so namely complete all in one go.

Now, what my concerns is about engine oil.
This engine to begin with is a high revving engine 5-6k normal play. Sometimes go to 8k and high accelerating engine. Since turbo.
Now comes the point of engine oil, fully or semi would be best? And if go for fully synthetic, what can I expect?

I'm keen on trying fully synthetic oil but not confident to do so without solid proof my engine won't get damaged due to some advises or myth?
All in all, I want the engine to be fully cared since already fully overhauled. Like start as if a new engine.

Below is some useful information :
http://www.mobiloil.com/USA-English/MotorO..._Oils_FAQs.aspx

Next, I'm looking at lucas oil brand.

Thanks in advance

building my future, please advise

Guys, in a dilemma right now
Currently I'm working and doing part time studies.
Below is my situation

The Good:
1. Near to home (5 km)
2. Near to place of studying (5 km)
3. Less stress & Office politics
4. Study Leave
5. No traffic Jam (my direction is opposite from traffic when going to work and vice versa)
6. Free Parking & Not congested
7. Super fast unblocked internet (I can use and download all I want)
8. Scholarship for my current studies.
9. Personal good desk and place (A big space for myself)
10. Fun industry and can learn a lot (seriously)
11. Attire is free ( I can wear what I want - usually jeans+shirt+shoe)
12. Swimming pool at office building (I just happen to love swimming)

The Bad:
1. Low pay (I believe)
2. Very low increment (I can expect what i`ll get in years to come)
3. High cost of living (KL)
4. Growing kids in KL (not nice)

Whats holding me from resigning
1. Governments plan to make Malaysia top Aviation Hub
2. The industry i`m in is very new in Malaysia and we`re the pioneer (seems bright so far), So I believe I will become a specialist in this industry
3. I`m still pursuing my studies, and the flexible time off and scholarship really helps me to focus, plus the distance and location of home, work, and study is very convenient (feel like I wait until I finish my studies)

5. Pay back scholarship (break contract - but just pay what I took)

Whats making me want to resign
1. Low pay
2.
Mercedes E200 question

Hai all, I`m currently in a position of whether buying this car, a mercedes E200 Master piece edition.
This would be my 1st car. So i`m not that familiar with car maintenance and car parts and all.

Things need to be done to the car.
1. New Paint

(I would like to know how much does it cost to repaint? just rough estimation would be ok)

other than that, the car has no problem.
Now, my real concern is about maintenance and usage.
here is my situation

1. My work place is 6km from home.
2. I got motorbike, (I`ll be driving the car maybe twice a week)
3. I plan to use ORIGINAL MERC stuff if possible, since the last owner did so.
4. Recommend a place to do my maintenance and repair for merc. Some people say the term, "Kedai bwh pokok" I don`t know the meaning but something like the shop is normal shop, but the mechanics are like Ex-Merc staff or something. That expertise I mean.

I would like to ask sifu here about pros and cons of this car, and estimated maintenance for it.

Best Regards

where got Part-time/fulltime professional Certs

Hai guys,

Currently I`m working fulltime and doing my part-time degree.

Here is a little background to start off with
1. Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Communication) from UTM -
2. Have 1 Mechanical cert - CNC cert from TATI (Sponsored after graduation program) - Prestariang Sponsor
3. Have 2 IT/Programming Cert in - CompTIA A+ and C#, ASP.NET (But now forgot all already I think, but if refresh can catch up again) - Univ Sponsor
4. Greencard
5. Currently doing my Part-time Degree at UTM (Electrical Engineering). Already finished 1 year, another 3.5 years to go.
6. Working Fulltime as System Integrator in an R&D company. (UAV development)

So basicly I aim 4 years to go, where I will complete my degree, Stay at the current company i`m working in, and obtain a few professional certs.
Summore Since i applied for scholarship for my degree and approved, Basicly I`m tied to the company for another 3 years upon graduation.
Right now, My home is 10 mins drive radius from my workplace and my study place. Therefore I plan to keep it this way until I graduate my degree.

So I was thinking, why not I just take more certs while I`m here, since anyways i`ll be tied for another 3 years.

Another thing is I aim to improve myself, where eventhough majoring in Electrical, I would very much like the combination of Electrical+Mechanical+IT since that is what my job scope is right now.

Anyone know of such training and professional cert I could obtain? Be it Part-time or fulltime. I would like to get as much as I can while i`m here.

Thanks in advance

Guys, Today evening this happened.
I riding HONDA 125X

here`s the prob, I speeding limit, when I slow down and masuk taman, suddenly feel motorbike like semput2

1. I thought is spark plug, so I go change NEW one
2. I thought Timing setting Air and Petrol ratio, I so I sent to set it.
3. BOTH above done at a mechanic.
4. I suspect it`s spark plug, cause long time never changed, then usually before this, if I stop a traffic light suddenly engine mati.
5. AFTER change spark plug and timing/setting, motor was much better. WHY? when I start engine, i no ram, it`s stable.

Here are few stuff maybe can help diagnose the prob

1. After all above, when I wanna head back home. ikot Highway. SUDDENLY feel semput2 again. I was like WTF. Since I changed Spark Plug and set Air-to-petrol ratio, what else could go wrong.
2. semput2 then I stop at petrol station. motor die. i start again, Ram hard, then proceed move.
3. All is ok above, then continue ride back home. then happen again after 20 mins ride like that semput2.. motor die, I restart, proceed.
4. Now, I near sampai house, semput2 again die middle of road. Near gg liao. i restart, move 10m, die again, restart, move, die again.
5. When moving, at last hope, I tried Revving up so motor no die, BUT I no sound and DIE.
6. Ngam2 reach home, I typing this up.
