Suggestion on a hybrid/convertible laptop?

Hi guys, I've spent almost a month going through some choices online as well as in LowYat plaza and the recent ICT fair here in Kuching. Basically I'm looking for-

1. A convertible/hybrid laptop, mainly for work, to go online, watch movies, some light gaming. I used an Acer Iconia tab previously, and loved the fact that it can be detached into a tablet
2. Preferably i5 procesor
3. With at least 128GB SSD
4. Powerful battery life would be helpful, but not an absolute must. I do a lot of backpacking/traveling and sometimes it's hard to find places to charge up.
5. Around RM3k
6. Nice to have HDMI port
7. Windows 8/8.1

I went back and forth between the following models, ASUS transformer T300 (con that the service centre apparently is horrendous, with me being based in Kuching it doesnt help I think), the newest Acer Switch 11 (con is that battery life apparently is very short) and HP Pavillion X2 (pro- the audiobeats sound system).

Other models I was interested was this New Toshiba Satellite model, which boasts 2 4 cell battery in the dock and tablet itself, as well as Microsoft Surface Pro 3. But both were out of my price range, the Toshiba was 4.3k++ and the Surface Pro 3 is around 3.9k ++ if you factor in the type pad.

What do you guys reckon? Should I just get the HP Pavillion X2 then?

Thanks for your help.

***If somebody can explain to me about Windows 8 vs Windows 8.1's differences it would be great. Is it of any significance if I'm getting myself this convertible laptop?
