Bukit Aman: Malaysians lost RM1.2b total to commercial criminals in first half of 2024, average 65 cases daily

KUALA LUMPUR, July 13 — The financial damage from commercial crime cases, including online scams, amounted to RM1.2 billion from January 1 to July 1 this year alone.

Commissioner Datuk Seri Ramli Mohamed Yoosuf, who heads the Bukit Aman Commercial Crime Investigation Department (CCID), told The Star today that a total of 15,500 commercial crime cases were recorded so far, up 34 per cent compared to the 11,546 cases for the same period last year.

The total cases this year are equivalent to 65 cases daily.

So my company came in a new Financial Controller.

He always likes to belanja makan.

Basically every Friday, he will just ajak our department for makan after work. Haidilao la, BBQ la, Thai food la... Then sometimes go Happy Hour minum few glasses.

He told us is a hobby and pleasure for him able to belanja.

So basically every Friday will reach home around 11pm after makan chit chat.

But I think his salary also around RM40K a month.

Anyone got superiors or bosses like that?

Indonesia launches China-backed high-speed railway

The Jakarta-Bandung high-speed train named ‘Whoosh’ is seen after the inauguration at Padalarang station in Padalarang, West Java on October 2, 2023.

Indonesian President Joko Widodo on Monday inaugurated a $7.3 billion high-speed railway connecting the country’s capital with the city of Bandung, a China-backed project that has been marred with problems.

The 142-kilometre (88.23-mile) railway, one of the president’s flagship infrastructure projects and part of China’s Belt and Road Initiative, has faced problems ranging from land procurement issues, pandemic-related delays and ballooning costs.

Monday’s launch for the bullet train named “Whoosh” is far behind an original target of operations in 2019.

“The name is inspired by the sound of a rushing high speed train,” Jokowi, as the president is popularly called, said during the launch.

The maximum operating speed of the train could reach 350 kilometres per hour (217 mph), Jokowi said, calling this “the modernisation of our mass transportation that is environmentally friendly”.

Luhut Pandjaitan, a senior minister overseeing the project, said at the launch that free trial rides on the bullet train, which have been under way since the second week of September, will be extended and ticket prices will be implemented in mid-October.

A consortium of Indonesian and Chinese companies built the railway.

Yamca at mamak, my friend place his newly bought Redmi Note 12 on the table, suddenly a customer accidentally knocked his phone and the phone fall on the ground. Newly bought phone screen pecah terus.... Aiyo baru 5 hari beli.

My friend ask for compensation... But all his get is only a sorry. The most he wanna settle is RM30

Not satisfied with the respond... My friend smash back his iPhone 14 Pro on the floor... Screen also pecah.

So in the end, fair and square... The owner of iphone 14 also timid type... So both settled... No report balai.

Why nowadays youngsters prefer go Korea/Japan/Taiwan than China?

I asked my friends go Beijing or Shanghai holiday... none of them interested. They prefer sohai Seoul or Tokyo... some amoi prefer sohai Taipei

1) China 100% more modern and tech advance than Korea, Japan
2) China more amoi lenglui
3) China scenery nicer, shopping malls also higher class nowadays than Japan.
4) No language barrier for those who speaks Chinese
5) Overall cheaper too
6) Go China can visit CAV too, JAV nowadays losing quality liao

Went to Mumbai public toilet located near a park to pee....
Walan eh... I don't dare to look at the urinate and toilet bowl. Full of shit and the water stucked. The floor all wet i guess is urine + the toilet walls full of stains of shit.
After this, i need one month to erase my toilet experience but the memory still hunt me till this day.

STARCRAFT 3 IS REPORTEDLY IN DEVELOPMENT

The next game in the acclaimed StarCraft series seems to be on its way. According to journalist Jez Corden, StarCraft 3 is currently in development at Blizzard.

In a reply to a fan’s question on Twitter about Microsoft reviving StarCraft if/when its purchase of Activision Blizzard closes, Corden says that won’t need to happen.

My friend recommended me this vinegar 2 months ago.

It smells like rubbish water to be frank... I almost vomited everytime I drink it.
