Insurance - Surrender

Hi,

I have bought 1 policy 3 years ago (1 whole life) whereby I realised that it is a redundant policy that I dont really need and is expensive.

I would like to go for the option to surrender it. (I still have 1 whole life policy which I will maintain).

Question:

1. Is it advisable to surrender it and get term life insurance instead (cheaper and shorter payment term)?
2. How much is the surrender value? 30% of total contribution made?
3. If I dont surrender, is there any available option other than paying the current amount to maintain it?
