Found this off of RPS, and i thought i should share this here too.
One Chance is a flash game where you're this scientist who created a virus that is killing off everything on the planet. With only 6 days remaining, how you decide to spend it is up to you. You can try looking for a cure or spend the rest of the remaining days with your family.
Very thoughtful game imo. Each of us can only play through it once, thought i think it's possible to find ways around it. Kinda defeats the purpose of the game though.

Converting internal HDD to external HDD

Hi, i got my problematic Seagate 7200.11 750GB back from RMA, and since i already bought a 1tb HDD to replace it in my pc, i'm thinking of turning my Seagate HDD into an external HDD.
Does anybody know what i'll need? I've googled and i noticed that a HDD enclosure and usb cables are neded. Apart from that i'm not sure about the rest.
And would anyone know the price needed to purchase those stuff?

Backing up game files in Steam

I'm thking of reformatting my C drive and my Empire Total War happens to be installed there. I saw a backup game files option in Steam and i'm not sure how it works.
Do i juz use that option and back the files to my D drive (which is what i wan to do)? And once i'm done i juz copy the files back to the steam folder in C drive after reformat?

Samsung monitor problem

Hi, my monitor is a samsung 943nwx. Last night i tried to turn it on like usual, but it just displayed an image for 1 second and then everything turns black.
If i turn off the monitor and turn it on again, it will only display for 1 sec and turn black all over again.
Any idea what's the prob here?

Hi, my Seagate 7200.11 hard drive cant be detected in my bios for the 2nd time so while i'm sending it back for RMA, i'm thinking of getting a hard
drive from WD instead. Fed up with Seagate now.

My main usage is basically lots of gaming coupled with the usual movies, music and data storage.
I've done a bit of research and narrowed my choices between the Caviar Green WD10EADS and Caviar Black WD1001FALS.

For just an extra RM30 i can get better performance and an extra 2 years waranty for the Caviar Black.

Those of you who have those hard drives can you give me your opinion and feedback? Even better would be those who have both to compare. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Cant detect onboard sound card and display adapter

Hi, i'm having a little problem after reformatting my pc.
It seems that windows cant detect the onboard sound card and built in display card .
So i guess this is a driver prob. If i'm wrong please correct me.
Thing is, i dont have the motherboard cd and i dont know the names of the sound card and display card so i cant find the appropriate drivers.
DOes anyone know a website of software that i can use to identify those parts?

Dell S2409W vs Samsung 2333SW

Can users of both the S2409W and 2333SW give feedback on their monitors? I want to get a new monitor but cant decide between the 2.
What i'm concerned is the quality of the image displayed between the 2 monitors, and the suitability for gaming, movies and everyday usage.
Or better yet, is there anyone who has both monitors to make a direct comparison?
My gathered comments on the 2 monitors so far:

Dell S2409
Pros:
24"
Has a HDMI port (though i dont really need it for now)
Sturdy stand
Rather cheap

Cons:
Not so sleek design
Dynamic contrast not stated

Samsung 2333SW
Pros:
Nice design
Rather cheap
High dynamic contrast

Cons:
Hard to fit stand
23"
No HDMI port

Hi guys, can anyone recommend me a GOOD, RELIABLE and CHEAP monitor for a PC and 360?
Preferably a 22"-24" monitor with DVI and HDMI inputs.
I havent figured out my budget yet so i'm taking suggestions now.

Guys, i've got a problem here.
Last nite i tried to turn on my pc and everything was running smoothly until the moment i reached my desktop.
It's practically empty, except for the wallpaper my mouse arrow icon. All the icons and the tray at the bottom are missing.
When i right click there nothing at all. Plus i cant access my Start menu at all with everything gone.
But i can access my windows task manager and using the 'run' function i can still turn on applications such as my web browser.
And that explains how i'm still able to ask all the taiko for help using my pc.
Pls help!

Ori game question

Hi, my fren is coming back from Australia and he's thking of getting ori games here. Games in Australia are WAY overpriced it seems.
Anyway he's eyeing both the original SupCom and Forged Alliance localized version.
Any1 here got it? How's the packaging like? Only words on the box is BM? What abt the contents inside like manual(if there is one)?

Oh and i personally am interested in getting a used copy of Mass Effect. Is there any way to check the number of activations for the 2nd hand copy i'm getting?
Any advice when it comes to buying used games?

Sharing original games with my friends

Me and my mates are curious if it's possible for us 2 share an original game tat we bought together.
Can each of us install the game on our own pcs?
Will that be considered as piracy to those game companies, since we might be playing it at the same time.

Headphone advice

Hi, after getting myself a new rig i've decided to get myself a new set of headphones.
Current I'm eyeing the SteelSeries SteelSound 5H v2 and the Razer Barracuda HP1 Gaming Headphone,
Which 1 is better?
I use my headphones for games and music(rock and techno so i prefer good bass), so a set of headphones that can play well for both is good.
I don play in competitive games but i wan to immerse myself in the atmosphere of the game.
And i hav no sound card though.
If any of u hav other recommendations for me i'll be glad to consider.

PSU Question

We all know that a rig without sufficient power wont b able to run well, but what i'm curious about is : is there such a thing as too much power?
Lets say a system only needs a 500W PSU, but instead an 800W PSU is fitted onto it.
Will anything bad happen to the whole pc?
Can any1 elaborate on this?
Thx. Juz sth i wanna know in case it's useful in the future.

Will I need extra cooling (fans etc) for my PC?

I'm ordering parts for my new gaming rig and i wanna know if stock cooling is enough for my rig.

C2D E8400
ATI HD 4870
Cooler Master CM690 casing

Hopes tat gives an idea of the temperature tat will be generated. My room has no air con & has poor air ventilation so it can be quite stuffy, which is why i'm worried abt my pc temperature when i put it in my room.

Gaming Rig Advice

Hi all, I'm new here so if i make any mistakes pls don hesitate to correct me.
Recently, i decided to get myself a brand new pc specially for GAMING.
But the thing is, there's so much to choose from that i'm feeling a little confused already.
So if u guys dont mind, cant u help me to look at my list of parts and share ur opinions on them (and also answer a few of my questions)?
I'm planning to get them soon, and I've confirmed all of this parts to be available in my local shop.

Core 2 Quad Q6600 (is this worth it? or shud i get a Core 2 Duo processor? I cant decide for this 1)
ASUS P5Q (is there any difference between this and the DELUXE version?)
ASUS EN8800GT (the ATI HD 4850 is better izzit? I cant find it here...yet tho )
Kingston 4GB 800Mhz Ram
Seagate Barracuda 750GB
Cooler Master Centurion 534 with 450W PSU (shud i stick with the psu that comes along with this casing, or shud i get a separate psu, say like Gigabyte Odin GT 550W?)

Btw, I live in Kuching, Sarawak so some parts, especially the newer ones are hard to come by.
