Question about Wacom

Hi guys want to ask,

A friend of mine is currently in Japan now and I'm thinking of asking him to get me a wacom tablet. The question is

1) Will it have regional compatibility issues when used with my laptop? Will I have any warranty?

2) I'm looking to get a tablet that can last me a few years and good for illustrations and sketching. I'm not sure if those bamboo manga tablet is good or should I look at intuos pen or any other recommended model? I've only own a Genius tablet before so I'm not sure about which model to get or their learning curve.

3) is Intuos Pro and Intuos 5 the same thing?
