How much do you give to your parents?

I would like to get a general feedback from all of you. I am just curious how much do you give to your parents from your salary?

My parents are still working. Once i start working next month i am thinking of covering all the house bills and also give 200 to my dad and 200 to mum.

Do you think it is enough?

It is common to come across room ads specifically asking for their own race (eg: chinese only or malay only) but this is the first time i come across this.

It is highly amusing. Read carefully, i also don't know who he wants as rentors, aliens perhaps?

Hi there, i just came across this job called strategic planner in the ad industry.

Anyone worked in this area before can help clarify what the job requirements are?

Do we need specific skills like the graphic skills, design skills, etc?

Genting Management Trainee

Genting had offered a special HR Management Trainee program and the walk in interview was last week.

They say they need the people by next Monday so the results of the interview should be out by today at least.

I am just wondering if anyone of you who attended got through or not. Have you received any email or calls?

Read the news below. It caught my attention because Bukit Beruang is where i am staying. I had seen these beggars before. All of them have the same characteristics- disfigured face, no limbs and other things.

It is saddening to see things like this happening in Malaysia. It is no wonder we are classified as a country with high human trafficking activity.

MALACCA: The presence of three horribly disfigured beggars at night markets in Taman Malim Jaya and Kampung Lapan here has shocked residents into calling for the authorities to step in.

The faces and foreheads of the three seem to have been scalded with acid and two of them had no hands and one had no toes.

Their faces were so disfigured that it is difficult to guess their gender and age.

The three, believed to be foreigners, appeared at several night markets here about three weeks ago, startling residents with their deformities.
Preying on emotions: This old man who is badly disfigured is seen begging near the entrance of Bukit Beruang in Malacca last week.

Readers tipped off Starprobe when the similarities among the three and their appearances together at the same night market at the same time arouse suspicions that they might belong to a syndicate preying on the emotions of the people to get money.

Their modus operandi has apparently worked well, judging from the money they have been able to collect.

On Tuesday evening, the Starprobe team followed these beggars and saw them being picked up by a taxi.

The team tailed them but the taxi driver managed to lose them after realising they were being followed.

The team also tried to follow them on Monday evening.

Residents said they were concerned about the beggars as it was possible that they were victims of syndicates who could have abducted them.

“Without their hands, it is most likely they cannot even feed themselves.

“Their faces are so disfigured, so even if their family members did stumble upon them, they would not recognise them at all. It’s pretty shocking.

“Without their fingers, thumb prints are gone. I hope the authorities can trace them and establish their identities,’’ a resident said.

Another caller expressed suspicion over the whole thing, saying that she believed such beggars, especially if they were “purposely disfigured”, were there more for greed.

“They are nothing more than employed beggars,” the caller said.

My boss recently hired a driver. At first, the fella looked okay.

Not long after that, he started harassing my 2 female office colleagues.

He tells lame jokes, calls them at night despite knowing they both have boyfriend. He even tried to get their address.

Despite telling him off, he continues to make advances.

My 2 colleagues say they are not scared bcoz i am there but i am only an intern, left 2 months on the job. After that there will be no male presence there.

What would you do? Complain straight to the boss or give him some more time to repent?

Oh yes FYI, he already got 2 wives. The second one juz gave birth.

This has been disturbing me for a few days.

I am a good natured person and am always willing to help people.

When someone asks for help, i won't turn them down and i help them sincerely. Perhaps this is because i am someone with high empathy which means I relate to others easily.

However this past few days somthing happened that really bothered me. I am seeing a lot beggars here in JB town lately. Everyday after coming back from work, i am bound to stumble upon someone. Not the ones who sit and beg, these are the ones who approach you and beg pitifully.

Because i get uncomfortable and don't dare to take my wallet out due to security reasons, i juz walk and ignore them. But the moment i ignore them, i am always hit by a pang of guilt.

Coming from a poor family myself, i find myself easily sympathizing with them. Almost immediately i will feel like i should go back and at least give RM1. This dilemma haunts me until i reach home. When i reach home, again i will feel guilty when i take my dinner. I will be thinking " O those poor beggars, they must be hungry..."

I honestly can't help it. I wonder if i am cruel. After all, parting with a few cents at least would not count much but i chose to totally ignore them.

Seeing these people really put me in a dilemma....sighs~

My brother wants to buy a new car but he says he don't want to go ahead because he feels the dealer is cheating him.

He says the dealer is working with someone in the bank to charge him an interest rate of 3.75 % for 8 years.

He thinks other banks will offer him lower~

Any advice?

Yesterday my friend was sleeping when he woke up suddenly around 4am.

What woke him up was the sound and sense of someone creeping into bed with him. At first he thought his other friends is the one but then he realized that all of them are sleeping in another house.

He could not move his body and that 'thing' started to caress his legs. After 5 terrifying minutes, he broke free and ran from the room~

So scary man~

I don't want things to caress me when sleeping~

Training nightmare~

I am currently undergoing industrial training in JB. A business student from Melaka.

Really suffering in my training, not because too much work but because there's nothing to do.

There's nothing to do but they expect me to do something. Ok so i try but it's quite impossible to fill 8 hours trying to find something to do.

To add to this suffering, they transferred me to another branch where there's only 2 people there. Here lagi takda kerja. Everyday i come i feel so useless. I am a top student in my U and i really hoped i can learn something from my training but i never expected it would be like this.

I envy my friends who are busy with their works. They are learning. What about me? Wasting time!!! And i can't even quit or change place because it is training~ Just imagine i have to endure this for another 4 months...
