Min wage with no benefits

Do not wish to reveal the company name

Working with this company as a contractor for past 3 years, overall salary is slightly higher than what is being offered in the market now OR i can say sufficient.

But about the benefits is what we're unsatisfied with.

- 12 days Annual leave per annum (used to be 8 days)
- 12 days Medical leave per annum
- 30 days Hospitalization leave
- Medical card given after the 2nd year which only can be used for clinic visit 1k limit per annum
- Outpatient have to pay & claim *Subject to approval*

There was once a person collapsed in the office, the boss asked another staff to drive him to near by GOV hospital instead of calling the nearby medical center ambulance, when asked he say the company wont bear the cost of admission better go to GOV hospital

- Zero increment for the past 3 years
- No Compensation leave, even for direct family members, have to utilize AL
- Required to standby with company laptop & mobile 24x7 but no standby allowance. will be payed only if there is work.

THE WORST PART :
Contractors are not allowed to take part the event organized by the company
Example : charity even, company treasure hunt, marathon, annual dinner/ parties, family day, festival dinners etc

Can we demand for more ? Is what the management offering according to labor law ?

I'm looking into opening a small time bottled beverage business. (Beverage is my own family recipe)

After long time of googling still could not come to a clear idea of how to start one. Hope Lowyat.net community can give me some advice & ideas how i can pursue my plan.

- How to get approval to sell my recipe?
- Bottling equipment purchasing
- Expiry date - How can i keep the beverage good for long period?

curios question ...

hiring a specialist from overseas is acceptable
reason : locals might not have the knowledge or experience in certain field which they have.

hiring labors from overseas is acceptable
because locals doesn't want to do the low end jobs.

but why hire a foreigner to work in a call center or a regular job which a simple Malaysian citizen can do ?
- same education background like us
- same experience level
- getting the same salary package as well
