Argh Looking for new Laptop , Previous HP Pav DV-7 Rm2.8 , 4gb ddr2 17'' , ati 4650 1gb (forgot) stolen , bad experience in gaming , Any better laptop suggestion for gaming ?

HELP ! Laptop been stolen , is there anyway to protect hardisk from re-format ? at least when stolen , theif can't log-in they cant use my laptop ... darn ! just bought DV7 Rm3k6 lost ..
