INTERIOR DESIGN

I am after form 6 science stream with STPM result 2.58...
i interested in interior design but now in headache in choosing between diploma of interior design from MIA (Malaysian Institute of Art) around 26k and degree of interior architecture from UCSI (University College Sedaya International) which around 46K.

FYI,in interior design field ,for fresh graduate with degree holder will get higher starting pay than those with diploma. However ,what about the on going long term career ,will degree holder get promoted faster compared to diploma holders?
Or at the end diploma holder and degree holder will eventually earn the same salary ? Since in this design field ,portfolio ,creativity and working experience is more important in issue with the salary.

Should i waste extra 20K for straight into degree ?
seeking advice from those especially in interior field.....
