There is some guide for SEA region to register account for either US or EU.
Now FREE Trials goes from Main game (A Realm Reborn) through Heavenward Expansion.
I suggest you try to create an account first before buy the game itself

This game has 3 region or version (US/EU/Steam). Does the region matters?
No. US, EU and Steam all are connected to the very same game server. (Eg. Player A buy US version and player B buy EU version, they can still player and meet at same server.)
Note : If you already have US account, you can only buy US version only.
Note : EU has slightly lower exchange rate compared to US. It isn't much, however if you plan to play long, is a lot.
Note : You can check which region/version you are in by checking it out FF14 online store (Place where you buy mount and costume), if the currency in USD then US version in Euro then EU.

Where can I buy the game?
Steam - Only if your steam register under country that Final Fantasy XIV supports.
You can buy EU or US in various online store. Official store are notorious for rejecting our credit card payment.
Alternately you could try Offgamers or CDkeys.com. I bought mine from these 2 places before, feel free to share where you guys got yours.

Why there is so many Final Fantasy XIV? Which ones should I buy?

Final Fantasy XIV A Realm Reborn
Final Fantasy XIV Heavensward (2015)
Final Fantasy XIV Stormblood (2017)
Final Fantasy XIV Shadowbringer (2019)
Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker (2021)

Beware that some online shop still holds old stock. If you bought a Shadowbringer copy, you will have every expansion and main game up until Shadowbringer only, you will not get Endwalker. If you bought an Endwalker copy mean you have all the main game and expansion up until Endwalker expansion.

Which server should I play?

There are 4 Physical data center

NA Data Center (we SEA player usually don't play in the data center)
Europe Data Center (we SEA player usually don't play in the data center)
Japanese Data Center (Most popular among SEA player) - There is 4 logical data center with 8 worlds each)
Oceanian Data Center (There are SEA player here too) - There only 1 Logical DataCenter with 5 worlds)

What's the difference between Japanese and Oceania Data Center?
- As SEA player, not much difference in ping at all, cause we are between Japanese and Oceania Servers
- Language wise, almost all players in Oceania understand English.
- Japanese Data Center still got player speakers English with the mix of players speaking Japanese from time to time.
- Quantity player wise Japanese is way alot more than Oceania. It mean you get a quicker queue to dungeon and raid.
- Japanese Data Center CANNOT playing with player in Oceania Data Center.

Each worlds in the same Logical Data Center are interconnected. It mean you able to travel to other world and play, queue or enter dungeon with player of the same logical data center.
* If you already have friends in a server (world) i suggest go for the same world. If not able to create new character, please wait till later time.
* Kindly refer to this https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodestone/worldstatus/ you will be able to know when is the restriction is lifted and able to create character.
(Do note that there is traffic spike during every release of a new expansion, the restriction may impose for longer period of time, otherwise usually just mere 12-24 hours.)

Which job should I play ? Should I need to create new character for each job?

FF14 is special, with 1 character, you able to master or play all job without need of creating new character just for that particular job.
I can't tell you which job to play but i can tell you this

Tank = Some learning curve, heart of the party, the most wanted job in dungeon (mean you don't need queue long for a dungeon/raid) and raid no matter which server you are in.
DPS = Easy to learn and play, little learning curve.
Healer = 2nd most wanted job in dungeon and raid, some learning curve.

* Don't worry using Healer as you main, you can get thru Main scenario quest easily.
* Arcanist is the only job that lead to unlock 2 job at once, Scholar (Healer) and Summoner (DPS) and even share the same level.

Reason for sale: This UPS, originally my company buy for standby for our server maintenance project. At the end of the project the UPS never used, so I buy from my company. Later found out that the fan noise from the UPS is too noisy for my room. Bear in mind that I use this for my gaming rig which is way overkill. I only use it for a day and let it charged for a week.
