WTA full overhaul

Here's the case..

my car kinda like "died" on me while I was driving along the highway and found out it was engine jam due to dried up engine oil(ok my bad, I serviced the car beforehand and i thought it could last me for another 5k km before the oil needs to be serviced again)

So, I called the PLUS line and they came to help me tow to a safe place, then offer me a mechanic number because obviously, I don't have any, and so it was towed to the mechanic by their tow truck.

Now the problem has come to this, he took out the whole engine and told me it's hopeless and require lots of part changing and full overhaul which will cost up to RM29xx.

my car is a Perodua Kembara 1.3 and its a 14 years old car with mileage 16xk. I need you guy's expertise on this because I have zero to none knowledge about the interior of a car is it really that expensive for all that work? (maybe it included towing, but its pretty near so I doubt it would cost that much)

Tuition fee difference..

I read up on a site listing rough estimate of tuition fees for certain university in U.S which seemed affordable..
http://www.graduateshotline.com/costs.html

It made me excited cause it seemed really cheap for most of them.. but then I checked on some of the university tuition fee on their own official site, and GOSH the listed fee was way higher than what was stated in the link above.

Could someone please shed some light on this for me?

One of the example would be this, http://www.iit.edu/financial_aid/tuition_and_fees/ but stated 12k on the other site.

Thanks!

Connecting x360 audio to pc speaker

I've searched the forum and found several answers..but i need a tad lil confirmation on this..

i have the VGA cable from x360 to PC monitor which has the 2 RCA output jack that splits from it and a 3.5mm RCA(male) to 2 RCA(female) adapter.

the question is, if i connect the 2 RCA output from the vga cable to the adapter(2f to 1m), and connect the output(m) to my pc mobo(Line in), can my speaker play the audio from x360 that has the green jack plugged in the pc mobo (Line in)?

Folder seems corrupted yet not

Referring to the above posted subject, I have a folder in my I: partition on my storage HDD.
The problem, particularly, doesn't allow me
1) Move anything into the folder, or out the folder
2) Rename anything in the folder. (Previously I wasn't able to rename the folder itself but now am able to, for reasons unknown)
3) Move anything INSIDE the folder to anywhere else that is INSIDE the folder.
4) Deleting anything inside is prohibited too.

Tried using Unlocker, but the only thing that it can do is to delete a file, while failed at renaming or moving, unless a boot-operation is scheduled. (Sometimes unable to delete certain file too)
Checked the attributes, tried removing read-only but doesn't work.
Virus-scanned, nothing found.

Any idea how to solve this? any help is greatly appreciated.

Power on and off repeatedly

I have a 1 year PC that starts to act weird whenever i press on the On button..im not sure whether its the PSU problem but i highly suspects it.

My specs

Gigabyte 965P-DS3 Mobo
ASUS 9600GT 512MB DDR3
2x1 GB DDR2 800Mhz ram
200GB hd
500W 230V PSU

i think 500W shouldn be that underpowered considering my spec is still average..but whenever i put in my newly bought 640GB WD HDD, the comp can't seem to start..just got the power sound for 1 second then off, then after 2-3 second it on for a second again, and the cycle repeats. I duno y a new HD would eat that much wattage to cause the problem.
Any idea wads the problem? is it the PSU or something else?

DSL Light blink problem

Broadband provider
ISP/package: Streamyx
Location: Tmn Pelangi, JB, Johor
Have you called your ISP's helpline?: Yes

Personal equipment
Modem:
Router: D-Link DSL-2640T
Firewall used: Windows Firewall

Problem details
First occurence of problem: 4 months ago
Problem frequency: Very frequent
Problem description:
I think this is the place to post this..and i have searched around topic by topic for solutions but to no avail..
since 4 months ago i have this problem of DSL light blinking, then i thought its somehow weird as I don't have this problem for the last 4 years. Before i use the DSL-2640T router, i was using a Prolink router(forgot which model). The reason i changed to the new 1 was because I thought it was faulty, but i was wrong.

I have called the Tmnet helpline since 4 months ago, starting with those useless commands and settings they ask me to do thru the phone, then port resetting and each time they send 1 technician the next day after call to fix it.

Then the technician come, fix in their own modem, still same problem, reset port again, then ask me to wait tomorrow some1 will come and check the cable. Then after checking still the same problem.

I thought it was the wiring problem so i rewired the whole line from outside to inside ( now using the new higher quality black wire ) but still having the same problem, which make me pisses off even more.

Then finally they went to the far end of the outside telephone cables and changed something ( im not sure what is it) then the problem was suddenly fixed. My SNR margin suddenly went to 30+ above and Line attenuation to 20+ like it used to be.

But after few days later got rain and lightning strike, the problem suddenly came back again. then i repeat all the procedure again..haiz
even now im still facing disconnection every 10min or so.

*Already done*
-Separate the alarm line from the phone line*
-Remove the surge protector
-Rewired
-Tried direct line

1 of the technician told me that quite some 384kbps package subscriber face this problem too( i used to use 1.5mbps package 4 months ago). I think its ridiculous for ppl who subscribe to certain package will face stupid problem like this. any1 have any idea wads actually causing it? any help is greatly appreciated

*EDIT* like some post b4 stated bout this problem..using a splitter and picking up the phone will cause the dsl light to stop blinking. it helps me connect and get 12 SNR margin but this isnt really a solution i wanted
