Claiming AI subscription costs as company expense

Hi,

my marketing agency (company) requires about RM30k in AI subscriptions each year, it's not a small amount.

Some of these subscriptions have SST paid to MY Customs, but the rest are not.

My question is, has anyone been able to claim these subscriptions as expenses without needing to go through paying WHT + the ensuing admin work?

My accountant advices best not to claim expenses to minimize headache, thank you.

Cotton On Asia is closing down, according to a government notice published on March 30, with liquidators appointed from PwC Singapore.

The decision to wind up the business was made at a video teleconference on March 25; Cotton On Asia is part of the Cotton On Group.

Cotton On Group, an Australian retailer with over 30 stores in Singapore and 20,000 employees globally, has been contacted for comment.

office concrete flat roof leaking for the past few months, went to hardware shop to get recommendations, wanted to do pentens T007 primer + T200

one thing led to another i got recommended Sika 555 20kg, but also 20kg of Pentens primer.

after coming home I realize that sika 555 does not need a primer, as it is self priming. now i am left with 20kg of primer :x :x

thinking back, i dont know why i agreed to buy 20kg of primer for 20kg of waterproofing, usually primer is only 20% of the surface :x

Welp, new audit exemptions for Sdn Bhd

My accountant forwarded to me this morning, due to shortage of auditors and financial burden on businesses, there will be no audit requirements for companies with revenues below 1mil starting 2025, and eventually threshold would be 3mil in 2027 FY.

What do you think are the implications? To me it's a pro and con. The biggest con is a lot of SMEs will be able to declare whatever and when authorities query, you can't put the blame on audit firm coz there wasn't a need for one. Think a lot of small time audit firms are gonna take a financial hit.

Hi, I don't really watch TV and neither does my family. Asking on behalf of my friend who has old parents at home. They've always had this NJOI thing plugged to the very old TV to watch free channels off Astro. Recently they've moved their living room to another floor and there's a brand new smart TV now. The NJOI cable is nowhere near where the new TV is.

Thing is the parents do not know how to navigate Netflix or YouTube, they prefer to only watch channels like 8TV. They are not subscribed to Unifi so there is no Unifi TV. On Maxis Fibre 500mbps instead.

So my question is, what's the preferred way of tuning into these free to air channels without a monthly subscription in 2024? Thanks

Finished my 5-year payment for Cuckoo. Now what?

This month's my last month paying Cuckoo's RM90 installment. That's RM5,400 the last 5 years. Whether it was worth it or not I'm leaning to yes if you factor in the convenience and service.

They've been ringing me every day or two to continue my contract with them by either trading in for a new machine or subscribing to some warranty extension plan @ RM50/month. Eff that.

So, what do I do now? I realize people sell third party compatible Cuckoo filters and other parts on Shopee. What do I need to maintain my machine? What's the schedule of DIY servicing that I should follow?

Hi, would like to ask on behalf of somebody who feels the pinch purchasing the medications. Senior citizen with high cholesterol and blood pressure.

Dr prescribed the following

1) Fenofibrate 145mg
2) Atovastatin 20mg
3) Telmisartan 40mg

wondering if able to get the above medications from govt clinics? Or KKM has stopped providing these medications free of charge?

Sent my Volvo for service today and decided to chill at the customer lounge to get some work done instead of going home. I happened to have some free time off work and my camera on me so I took some photos.

Love or hate them, can't deny that Volvo dealerships (this one in particular is SISMA Sg. Besi) are very chill and relaxed. A lot of cars are being serviced but since they have staff who will pick up your car from your house, majority of owners do not show up at the service centre. Results in a very quiet setting. This contrasts sharply with my experience at BMW service centres like Quill or Auto Bavaria, which were always packed and bustling, making it hard to deal with the noise.

Thanks to competition from BYD and Tesla, I think Volvos are now a great buy, with many models available for under RM200k.

In case you're wondering, I bought my Volvo with complimentary 5 year VSA. No charges for the first 5 years/100,000km service. Touch wood so far smooth sailing.
