Need Help & Advise-Complex Network Setup

Hi. This is actually a picture of my office. Its two separate buildings joined at the middle.

My modem is at B and cannot be moved. I have to place my 802.11n router at A as there's a NAS box there(LAN only). C,E,D,F are PCs which can get coverage from A.

My problem now is I'm lost on how to connect Modem at B to router at A. Running cables over is not preffered, B is 1st floor while A is ground floor. Homeplug is too expensive, plus its 2 different buildings joint at middle, so electrical wiring is different.

My idea is to get a WRT54G DDWRTed and hook it up to the Modem at A. But I understand that if i connect this wirelessly to the 11n router, then the speed of the network is reduced to 11g. I also read some where that the only way to retain 11n is to do something called AP isolation where the 11n router connects to 2 networks. It maintains 11n speed with say Network 1 (All n devices) and at the same time, maintains a 11g connection with 11g router.

So the 11n router must channel all outward packet request from client PCs to the 11g router (which'll forward it to the modem). And other 11g devices should also be able to connect to the the Internet through WRT54G's 11g network.

So this is my idea. The thing is, I don't know whether its too complex or whether it'll actually work. Or whether there is a simpler/easier alternative. Please advise. Thanks.

PS: The 802.11n router I plan to use is D-Link DIR655.

I searched the forum but didn't get a definite answer.

I'm in need of some S-Video,Component,Coaxial,Toslink and HDMI cables.
looking for cheap decent ones,probably like 20 or 30 bucks for the HDMI, for instance.
At the same time, I don't mind the ultra cheap ones also.

I have seen some of the cables at tesco or giant, but i'm not sure the price is cheap,since they are not dedicated AV store.

So,any best shop to buy these cables?

1. How 'healthy' is my connection(SnR, attentuation etc..)? What are the problems I would face? What are the solutions?

2. As you can see, my downstream rate is very much below 70% speed.(i'm on 512k package).
Resetting port(thru TM Customer Service) does little change. Is this an unchangeble problem(eg. house too far from DSLAM) or is it a
correctable problem(changing internal wiring etc..)?

actlly,i asked my friend his unlimited acc username n pass n i surfed using his account in my house...
then, in his bil he had to pay rm19.25 extra...he called tmnut n they said "an external contact no(phone no) used the extra"...

i'm really confused n poorer by rm19.25 now....

i plan to set up wifi at home...intending to share streamyx(n files) between 1 main desktop pc n 2 or 3 wifi-enabled laptops...

2 questions here:

1. correct me if i'm wrong...i connect either 1 of the abovementioned adsl gateways to d main pc n set up network.that's all,rite?...

2.which one shall i chose both look same?any past experience with either 1?

so far i know tat tmnut practices throttling(or shaping) n thus our torrent n p2p speed will go slow like crap....

but lately, when i talk to my friends ,they say that they always download using e-mule n ares and can get very fast speed...

(note:i consider more than 10 kb as ok, >20 as fast, this applies for p2p n torrent only,of course!)

i tried e-mule once n get only 4kb....alll my abovementioned friends are using wired streamyx ranging from 512-1Mbps(doesn't matter rite)

so how bout u guys?.....can u really get any good speed in p2p like kazaa,emule,ares or others?

torrent doesn't matter coz i know its influenced by no of seeds, location of saeeds n etc....
