Troll Jailed

Colm Coss, of Ardwick, Manchester, posted on a memorial page for Big Brother star Jade Goody and a tribute site to John Paul Massey, a Liverpool boy mauled to death by a dog.

The 36-year-old "preyed on bereaved families" for his "own pleasure", Manchester Magistrates Court heard.

He was jailed for 18 weeks for sending "malicious communications".

Diego, Lipan yang dijumpai oleh encik Radhy [bekas tentera Malaysia] di banjaran tibet, telah memilih holland untuk muncul juara baru piala dunia edisi 2010. Diego dikatakan telah membuat 3 tekaan tepat termasuk perlawanan membabitkan Portugal - korea utara dimana diego telah memilih portugal untuk menang. dia juga dengan tepat telah memilih Argentina mengalahkan Greece dan Nigeria. Perlawanan separuh akhir lalu Diego gagal untuk memilih sebalik membuat keputusan untuk mengigit jari tuannya. I just received a newsletter from exabytes with their 'unlimited' promotion. I noticed a new thing is that NBEpay and ipay88 included as features. If I am not mistaken, with NBEpay, it's free for the first 36 months. I think it's a great opportunity to those want to start a e commerce business.

wordpress blog-ping and feed aggregator

Dear all Blogmasters & Webmasters,

I would like to invite all of you to join my newly setup wordpress blog-ping and feed aggregator website at giuk.org.

What is this?

If you're familiar with project petaling street, giuk.org also achieved the same thing. For those who don't, it's a website that will crawl you blog for new articles and display the summary. People around the world can check and if they interested, they will click the link and redirected to your website. This way, you have the opportunity to index your blog and send more traffic to your blog. I've also provided a tutorial link at the website with screencast. It's free and it's very easy.

How does it works?

For those who have their own hosting and is using WordPress, you can install a plugin called MaxBlogPress Ping Optimizer and configure it to automatically send a ping request. Check out the screencast in the tutorial page on how to achieve this. This plugin will inform giuk.org everytime you post a new articles in your blog.

For those who don't have wordpress and the ability to use plugin, you can manually request a ping by submitting your blog url every time you finished updating your blog or after posting a new articles. Check out the screencast in the tutorial page on how to achieve this.

The folder size of /usr keep increasing

As the topic stated, the folder /usr keep increasing and I don't have enough skill to identify what is it or where exactly the problem source. It could be a log file but even du -ch <dir> I still unable to find it. Any idea?

Linux Training

I am looking for linux training. I am a web developer (PHP/MySQL) and quite comfortable to say I know basic linux administrations as well. How basic you may ask, are limited to installation and configuration of Apache, MySQL and PHP for Linux plus the usual rm, cp, mv, ls, ps, w, df, vim, pico, su, vnc, service, yum commands. Most of the time, IRC and google are places I'll go for help if there is something beyond my expertise. I am looking any training that provide advance topic in the sense of 'linux as a server' including installation, upgrading, softwares configuration, security, networking and shell scripting around KL or PJ. I appreciate any suggestions.

Google Interview

While reading narf03's thread, after stumbled into silverhawk's DOM Scripting link, I stumbled deeper into an interesting article called 'Why Good Programmers Are Lazy and Dumb'. I must say that I am very impressed by this article. It had me convinced almost 100%. Part of it also brought back relief and confidence to me. PHP and MS DOC template

If anybody of you out there ever use PHP to handle DOC file within the browser itself?

What I mean is, how do you guys open DOC file in the browser for editing purpose in the browser itself. What I have done so far is converting DOC into HTML and loading them into WYSIWYG editor. Another thing I have in mind is divide them into parts such as header, contents, footer, etc before loading them into their tables. The server is linux so the PHP COM thingy is not my options etc. Please advice.

Online Bookstore Web

I try to design an online bookstore index page alone but I still don't feel it looks like one. I don't know photoshop except html and css and that is why ALL images are not mine. It's a test page and I think as long as I don't use it in the production site, it's ok. The page is valid HTML 4.01 Transitional. I need more idea on how to get the look of an online bookstore?

Using linux and programming tools

Hello linux gurus & everyone. I am interested in linux but I have trouble migrating because it's been very long I have been using windows. I was told by one of my IT senior student claimed that I can be a good programmer if I am working in linux enviroment. How far this claimed true in real life?

One more question, why I should migrate using linux instead of remain using windows?
