hello fellow LYNer's,

need some help here,

been using a dopod838pro and am facing some problems.
it connects to EDGE automatically when wifi disconnects, sometimes i dont know that the wifi has disconnected but the PDA connects to EDGE by itself and i have to pay data bills to my service provider (Digi).

anyone know how to turn this function off (the acutomatic connection)?
can i get Digi to stop providing me the EDGE service?

hello to all PDA users, sellers and buyers

here's some important things i've learned that i'd like to share regarding the purchase of PDA's

1. make sure u do your homework regarding the model u wanna buy, 2nd hand PDA prices will drop like crazy
2. when buying 2nd hand, pls try to do COD so that u can test the PDA fully on the spot and evaluate the PDA.
3. make sure that there is AT LEAST 1 week warranty, there are certain things u CANNOT test on the spot (wifi, activesync)

if u do not test for wifi n sync on the spot n then go home and find out that u cannot do either or both, then u are in BIG trouble.

the problem with the sync is a hardware problem and not a software problem. in my case, i had to change the MOTHERBOARD n that would've cost me more than RM1000. lucky the PDA i bought still had warranty.

so please be careful when purchasing PDA's.
