Clean toilet campaign in malaysia

I was doing some research today on clean toilet campaign in Malaysia. It seems that the campaign started back in 2005 and had a 5-year plan to achieve said status.

Just wondering, are you guys aware of the campaign in the first place? It was started by Toilet King of Malaysia, then Deputy Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Robert Lau Hoi Chew. Back in 2006, there's even a song dedicated for the campaign in RTM.

Now that it has been 5 years since. How do you feel about it?
Does the campaign work?
Are the public toilets in Malaysia better?

Some malls have great toilet cleanliness especially Jaya Jusco even though they install water pipes as oppose to 'dry'-toilets. And yes, I noticed certain RnR having well kept toilets too, free.

The one in Central Market/ Pasar Seni rather surprised me.The design is pretty and all. They charge 50cents per entry and you actually have to push in coins into those barrier like ones in LRT stations. I though that's ridiculous.

I remember hearing about the one in KLCC having 'exclusive' restroom that even have coffee/tea (WTF?).

So, where do the horror stories from tourists about our toilets come from?

Perhaps it our own culture to be blamed? Sendiri jaga diri attitude. Because some think that others would be unclean too, they just decide to join the ship and be dirty. I think that explain why crouching on the toilet happens.

Just because the cleaner is there, some think its okay to just leave the cleaning up to them, citing " That's what they are paid for" (I really despise those who says this).

I'm not sure about male toilets but female loos are usually littered with tissue (used to 'clean') and sanitary pads. THAT is disgusting. Dealing with those, I sometime think its right to impose a fee but then again, not all of us are bad seed.

I do plenty of diy stuff but can't really post them in super-specific thread here as some seems to be left out. I'm sure many feels left out as well with the less specific artwork. So here's my idea.

Hello, I am a graduating students from Limkokwing studying Public Relations. I am looking for interview candidates to help me understand the PR education (syllabus) in local universities and its relevance to the industry demand.

I wake up again at 6:30. Something's definitely up. My kidneys; unsatisfied with the carnage caused by bulldozers; have commandeered tanks and started burning down the Reichstag that is my middle half. I am in serious pain. In my infinite wisdom, I decide to ignore it, still thinking I might just be hungry or constipated.

It's now 10:30. Screw university, I'm not going; not while my organs are having a civil war. I drive up to the medical centre and take a seat. "There'll be a two hour wait - the doctors running late," she says. I'm in severe pain by now.

It's 11:30. Sitting up is getting unbearable. I ask to lie down on a bed somewhere, and the receptionist lady obliges. Angry geriatrics envy my special treatment. I feel powerful.

It's 12:00 or sometime, when bang. Holy mother fluffing of shit. Raw, intense pain. Someone just Nagasaki'ed my bowel. A doctor comes in and watches me writhe in pain. He asks, "Are you ok?" I reply, "My stomach is on fire." He pushes on my abdomen, then my lower right abdomen. I nearly go catatonic and grip his hand. Wup-wow.

Maybe ten minutes later I'm in an ambulance with a morphine needle in my bum. Morphine is great. I remembered the old people's faces of disgust at my special treatment. It makes me smile. All is good in the world.

I rock up to hospital. A doctor comes and assesses me. He is not happy. He has a monobrow though, so I need not respect him. I get more drugs. I go to sleep.

I wake up and its night. Monobrow tells me they've called in the surgeon from dinner with her husband to do emergency surgery on my appendix which has ruptured and caused perotonitis. 10% mortality rate in healthy patients. Good, I like a challenge.

I am prepped for surgery. Nurses wheel me into the operating theatre late that night. Just before my bed enters the operating room, an attending stops me. She says they havn't done the pre-check on my details. She checks my wrist band. It says Mrs Finch, Jessica. "Mrs Finch, Jessica" has no allergies. Lucky her. I on the other hand, am deathly allergic to penicillin. Penicillin had been put on my treatment schedule. They take another ten minutes to correct things. My confidence is not great. My last words to the attending doctors is, "I'm glad someone knows what they're doing." I recognise a monobrow above one of the attending's masks. I smile. I don't even feel the anasthethic. I go to sleep.

Thursday 5th.

I wake up early in the morning. It is around 5am. I feel sleepy as shit. Someone is standing above me. It takes me a few seconds to make sense of the face. It's an ex-girlfriend's mum wearing a nurses uniform. Then it hits me.

She's going to smother me with a pillow...fluff

My eyes close again and I fall back asleep. I had survived. Boy was I on a roll.

It's 9am. The operating doctor comes to see me. She says she removed widespread infection covering my entire mid section with a particularly bad infection in parts of my abdomen and kidney. Apparently, my left kidney was displaced so as to be directly adjacent to the perforation where the infection originated. Smooth move God you cunning *******. Luckily for me, my other kidney was having a picnic up north during the whole ordeal. You're fault for giving me two you sneaky son of a b****.

12 hours from death she estimates. Groovy, I feel pretty good. "That's because you have morphine in your drip." Fantastic. Bring me some pie and I will be content.

The doctor leaves. I fall asleep.

It is mid afternoon. A nurse is changing my canular. A canular is the big tube in your arm that the drip connects to. I watch her take it off and replace it with a new canular. She then leaves. I turn away and fall asleep.

Woops. She didn't put the valve on. Bad, bad girl.

You see, veins have valves. This stops blood from flowing backwards in your body. Essentially, the liquid in my drip stopped going in and blood started coming out.

A good half hour later a nurse walks in. She wakes me and runs out the room. I have a quick look around and glance my bed. It is soaked in blood. It's soaked through my clothes, through my sheets, through the mattress. Everything. My left arm is stained entirely on one side. I lift my arm and leave an arm print of white. The nurses come back. Goodbye consciousness. To sleep again I go.

That's as much as I'll type for now. Things to come include psycho nurses trying to kill me, falling down in the shower, a near car crash, a run in with a different ex girlfriend's mum's psycho new boyfriend, a run in with a bicyclist on meth and a bus crash.

I shit you not, all of this will be explained. God wants me dead. Read at your own risk. You have been warned.

1. On a Continental Flight with a very "senior" flight attendant crew, the pilot said, "Ladies and gentlemen, we've reached cruising altitude And will be turning down the cabin lights. This is for your comfort and to enhance the appearance of your flight attendants."

2. Heard on a Southwest Airline flight. "Ladies and gentlemen, if you wish to smoke, the smoking section on this airplane is on the wing and if You can light 'em, you can smoke 'em."

3. On landing, the stewardess said, "Please be sure to take all of your belongings. If you're going to leave anything, please make sure it's something we'd like to have."

4. "There may be 50 ways to leave your lover, but there are only 4 ways out of this airplane"

Acer Aspire One Wireless Connection

So we just got our new Acer Aspire One..the tiny lappy that I fear have gotten bad reviews in other sites... My dad bought it, enough said.
My problem is, I cannot connect to the wireless network. I did turn the wireless button on or so I hope (there's orange light blinking(!?) ) but it just won't connect. I'm using XP btw. HELP! And thx in advance.

P/s: Can someone explain ssid for me?

I'm so in love with this white and gray kitten. Currently 62 episodes of anime has been released and viewable in Youtube (yuearie for RAW update and zipped2210 for subbed ones by Yoroshiku). THis story is basicly about a kitten named Chi ( in japanese Chi is pee, which will be explained in first few episodes) who got lost and taken in by Youhei's family which consist of Youhei, Okasan and Otosan. It follows Chi's journey from learning how to be toilet-trained to jumping as high as a cat should and discovering she is a cat ( She refers to herself as Chi and do not know what a 'cat' is).

My friend bought Kreko today and first thing that caught my eye was the Cosplay Competition Advert.

Basicly to participate you must be above 13 and submit your details before 9th July 08.

Anybody interested? I've never participated before but really looking forward to what might be my first cosplay event.

I remember reading the negative stuff on LUCT before and honetly I won't deny all but do take time to see the brighter side of this place. Anyone interested about it can ask in this thread or pm me.

Campuses: Cyberjaya, Kuching, China, Indonesia, Bostwana, Uk, Cambodia and China.

Faculty: 6 major faculty ( Arhitecture, Design, Communication Media and Broadcasting, Business, Multimedia, IT and Computing) an IH (International House offering English)

Prorammes : Foundation, Diploma, Degree and postgraduate in Malaysia or with LUCT international partner such as Curtin and University of Central England

Things you'd be an idiot to miss:

- Alot of scholarship are offered to Malaysian as well as international students from discounts and sponsership. Some got 70% off the fee!

- No need to go outside Malaysia to get the international feeling because Malaysian are mere 40% or so.

- If you're doing a local programe you are still offered a one month or one semester in LUCT London. Cost around RM11 k and you could apply scholarship for that.

- It relatively easy to pass here and usually the teachers would do everything to make you pass the semester unless ur a total jack.

- Free wifi in the campus ground and use the pc/mac whenever you feel like it. Save your bucks.

- for design students or just interested in , senior artworks are usually hanged along the walls or anywhere really..LUCT shows off their students work everywhere they can.

- If you're a multimedia student, hang out in the lab and play with console all you want and even request for games. Tsk!

- Grab the chance to work wih big companies every year (this year Triumph and England Optical Group) I blew my work on them.

- If you are still bored take time to join the yoga club or the gym. That really explain the smell on my friend.

- or join the One World club free to play pool or table football(?)

- Get your hair and nails done in the campus saloon

- International students (and locals) get to work with school in their freetime and get paid RM5 per hour. In cafe, marketing office etc
or start your own service and paste you're advert on the walls....heheh.

- Did I mention alot of shooting goes on in the Cyberjaya campus? Grab the chance to be extra! >_<
