KULAI: A police constable has been arrested for allegedly stealing a female colleague’s underwear at the housing barracks of the Kulai district police headquarters along Persiaran Indahpura 4 here.

The suspect, 28, was picked up by a team from the Kulai police Criminal Investigations Department (CID) after he allegedly broke into his colleague’s home yesterday.The victim, a police corporal, lodged a report after realising that someone had broken into her home and stolen her underwear at about 2.30am.

It is also learnt that the victim, who is with the district CID headquarters, assisted in the investigations by detecting unknown sandal prints in her home.

According to a source, the victim had lodged a sexual harassment report against the suspect last month.Police have recovered 12 pairs of panties, two bras and a pair of sandals.

It is also learnt that the suspect, whose wife is also a police corporal who works with the victim, admitted to stealing the underwear and entering the victim’s house several times.

The suspect is being remanded until Monday to assist with the investigations under the Penal Code for committing trespass.

Kulai OCPD Supt Tok Beng Yeow confirmed the arrest and said police would not compromise with anyone found to have committed a crime.

IPOH: The Immigration Department arrested 17 people, including 10 foreign women, in a raid at a massage parlour on Jalan Dato Tahwil Azar here.

Perak Immigration director Kamalludin Ismail said the raid was conducted on Sunday (Feb 24) at 3.40pm after getting a tip-off about irregular activities there.

"Apart from massages, the centre also offered sexual services," he said in a statement on Tuesday (Feb 26).

"We arrested four women from Thailand and six from Vietnam. Others included a man from Bangladesh, two men from Myanmar who work there and four Malaysian men," he said, adding that those arrested are aged between 19 and 49.

"The operate daily from 11am to 2am.

"Those arrested have committed various offences under the Immigration Act, including not possessing legal documents, working illegally on a visiting pass and sheltering illegal immigrants," said Kamalludin.

"We will send them to the Immigration depot at Langkap, Teluk Intan once investigations are completed," he added.

The photos were shared on the SSBN Facebook page, which is known for sharing risqué photos and clips, and quickly went viral on Wednesday night.

The photos show a man wearing jeans and a T-shirt and a woman in a maroon dress engaged in a number of "intimate" acts in what appeared to the aisle selling toilet cleaning products.

Shoppers could be seen in the background on some of the photos. Many people made negative comments on the photos.

Officers from Thailand’s Technology Crime Suppression Division (TCSD) said they are investigating the photos and are trying to track down those involved.

Pol Maj Gen Siriwat Deepai said the couple could be charged with uploading and distributing pornographic material which is punishable by up to five years in jail and a Bt100,000 (RM12,814) fine. – The Nation/Asia News Network
