So far, I've managed to solve all the previous problem .. but immediately after i managed to do that , now certain windows dialog box, will appear with foreign language. Is it still caused by virus or something else? Here I attached the snapshot of the windows dialog box... It doesn't affect all windows ot toolbar .. only certain dialog box ...

[attachmentid=271666]

File sharing or network drive

Hello, I hope I post this in the right place.

In my workplace, there are 20 PCs and 1 server in a LAN altogether. I plan to centralised some of documents and some databases so that my colleague and I can easily share some common and frequently accessed files.

I have a database (MsAccess) that is used by all my colleagues. What I did is I placed it in one of the most powerful PC there so that it'll not hang when lots of ppl accessing it at the same time. What happen this afternoon was when they were all trying to access the database at almost the same time, it won't open. (error something like file.mdb not found - even though it's there) Is there a limit on number of access from a shared file over a LAN? What if I need the file to be accessible by say 15 ppl at the same time - if file sharing failed, would it be better if I placed it at one of the network drive on the server?

Hope forumners out there who know or might face and solve such problem care to help. Thanks.

LCD goes blank

Hi ... got this problem just today. When I start my PC it will boot up just fine until it comes into Windows XP. After that the display will goes blank. I've been using this PC about a month without such problem before.

I thought it's because of LCD monitor but when I connect my laptop and use my PC LCD to display it's perfectly fine.

Then using the PC again, I boot Knoppix Live CD and it works perfectly fine. So I think it's only problem with Windows XP. But any idea why? Any such virus that can cause this? I never change the resolution, and always sets my wallpaper to off.

Hope some1 can give some suggestion on how to solve this. I do hope I won't have to format as the setup will be quite painful for me - time, setting up prog again .. etc.
