FFC FPC connector holder SMD

Hello Sifus,

I’m wondering where can I get the plastic part that is holding the ribbon cable on the connector? Accidentally broke it as I was trying to fix the cable back into the connector. Try to glue it but it wont hold.

Its the black plastic thing holding the ribbon cable on the first picture. My connector is 0.5mm pitch and 8 pins. I know I have seen this somewhere but just dont remember. If I buy the connector available on AliExpress I might have to solder it and take out open another board which is where all the hdmi and monitors are.

Can you guys help? I have search Jalan Pasar but they dont have it and yet to go to lowyat to find this.

Zenfone 5 Help!

Hello everyone,

I just acquired a Zenfone 5 and after purchasing, I only realized that the unit was a CUCC (China Unicom, maybe) version. Because of this geographical restriction (China) implied on this version. I can't access any apps without going through the 'local' version of playstore.

I knew that you're able to change this CUCC to the WW version as a lot of other countries are using. I saw a post in xda developer forums and a youtube video suggesting the way to do this. However, because of my previous experiences with phones, I know I need help.

Can any expert here guide me or offer their service of how can I convert this Zenfone 5 CUCC unit to a WW. I don't need it to be a Lollipop, I will settle with a Kit Kat if that's possible.
