[WTA] Buy car with GST + new govt

Hi guys

Not sure whether this is the right place to ask. I'm currently on on-going process of buying a used car from a sdn bhd company. The process is still on going because the company is waiting for e-batal from the bank before we can proceed with ownership transfer.

Since I'm buying the car from a company, the price of the car would include the 6% GST. I'm wondering since Pakatan Harapan (PH) might probably form a new government and one of their manifesto is to abolish GST, does that affect the price that I'm paying to that company (to deduct the GST) ? Or it should remain as it is? The buying/ownership transfer might be completed around next week since the bank is yet to release the loan of that company.

Appreciate your insight and opinion on this. Thanks!

[UNIFI] 1 storey house 2 different account

Hi there,

I'm currently rented is a 2nd floor of 2-storey terrace house. The owner has separated the house with external stair for the 2nd flood tenant.

The ground floor tenant has already registered/installed with UNIFI. I just moved in and have registered my own UNIFI account. When installer came and installed the cable, there is a problem to connect. The installer called technical support (maybe for installer special line) and the support said that they can't allow my account to be enable since there is already active account for the registered address.

The installer advice me to go to TMpoint and make a new registration and change the address a bit (for example, adding 'B' after the house number). I verified first with 100 customer support of product and installation, and they said it can't be done since the system wouldn't recognise the address.

That customer support advise me to ask for the ground floor tenant to register another UNIFI account (under his name, and to be used by me). I don't want to do that because the contract will have his name and I want to avoid any future issue with having a different name (moving out, cancel account, upgrade/downgrade, calling technical support, and etc) which could drag him with the issue.

I am wondering whether you guys know any workaround so that I can have UNIFI at my house (2nd floor) with my name ? I really need to have this connection since I'm working from home and require fast speed and huge quota for download/upload and I can't afford to use mobile broadband (which I'm current am) anymore due to those speed and quota issue.

Hope there is a solution for this. Thanks in advance guys
