8. Brief Project Description:
UNHCR is in the process of strengthening its monitoring and reporting on documentation database. The incumbent will ensure sustainability of work through adequate training of implementing partner staff as well as other UNHCR staff as required. Under the direct supervision of the Protection officer and the technical supervision of Senior Regional ICT Officer, the incumbent will support the regular clean-up functions for priority data corrections which is critical for generating quantitative figures and produce accurate statistical reporting and legal analysis on area of responsibility for persons of concern.
09. Description of tasks:
The incumbent will undertake the following tasks:

• Ensure accurate and consistent inputting of data received from partners into database;
• Perform data analysis and produce reports in various formats including graphs, charts, etc. as required.
• Maintain and further develop the structure or format of the database as required, incorporating adjustments and amendments from UNHCR staff and partners;
• Provide technical support to implementing partner staff on the specific data in relation to the different indicators being monitored;
• Maintain database design documentation and operating manuals;
• Develop and maintain a web interface for the Database;
• Undertake any other tasks as assigned by the direct as well as technical supervisor.

10. Qualifications/Requirements:
• A university degree in Computer Sciences or related technical field. MA Degree and any Microsoft certifications in Access or SQL would be an asset.
• Significant experience analyzing data and producing reports.
• Experience in programming Microsoft SQL Databases.
• Ability to design the structure of the database and design documentation and operating manuals
• Good command of both Bahasa and English (written, read, and spoken). Drafting skills, especially in English is required.
• Sound interpersonal and communication skills, especially with people from different cultural backgrounds.
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
• At least 24.
• Nationality: Malaysian

11. Deliverables
• Accurate analysis and reports of data
• Maintenance of the database
• Reports (weekly/monthly/quarterly) generated form the database
• A technical report covering all aspects of the database development process and definition codes, variables and copies of software programme.
• Training materials and a manual on the use of the database.

12. Applications

HELP! Windows System Folder corrupted

Hi guys, I have a problem booting into Windows XP on my PC, it started when my PC started crashing a few times and I would just restart it,at first it would in the BIOS screen it won't be able to detect my HDD, but after a few restarts then it will be ok (this has been happennig for quite some time), bu yesterday after the crash and I restarted it a few times, as soon as the BIOS screen dissapears, i get a message saying that there's a file missing or corrupt in C:Windows/System32/Config folder and it asks me to use the Windows XP CD and run the repair function. I brought the HDD to my office (since the Win XP cd at home doesn't work ) and I'm trying out the repair function . After I press 'r' to go into repair mode, it shows me the DOS console, so what command do I use here? Can i fix this corrupted folder, I believe I can't use the Automated System Recovery since I nvr made those ASR backups and if possible I don't want 2 format the PC.

This HDD is a Maxtor 80GB SATA Hdd, I also have a secondary HDD, a WD 80GB Sata, and below are my PC specs (if it's any help) :

P4 2.8Ghz
2 x 512 MB DDR-RAM
BENQ DVD-RW
Lite-On CD-RW
the 2 above mentioned HDD
MSI Neo-2 865PE motherboard
350 watt 'chapalang' PSU
Creative Sound Blaster SoundCard

Crystal Report export problem

hi there ppl, i have problem with a report i have done on Crystal Report v.8 I have created a crosstab report and I'm having 2 column headers on this report, one represents a database field called Period & another is a total. The 'Period' field column header does not display data from the Period field but is customized to a different field (called 'ColLabel').The reason I put the 'Period' field as the column header is bcoz I want to order by the Period field but display the 'ColLabel' field on the report instead.
THe report can be displayed correctly but the problem occurs when I export the report to Excel 8.0 . The problem is that the column header that is supposed to show the 'ColLabel' field is missing. If i change the report design to display the 'Period' field then it'll be fine,so I'm guessing the problem occurs because I have changed the group name for the 'Period' field.
Anybody with this problem or have solution for it, your help will be greatly appreciated. Thank You

Application Verifier

hi, I'm having problems here with a software that I've been using to verify my company's chain store retail software. The company i'm working for want's their software to be certified under the Microsoft Partner Programme so currently i'm assigned to make sure a module from that software (this is the 1st phase now) passes through all the test that is provided by Application Verifier

I'm using the Application Verifier software (http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechn...ppverifier.mspx)
from Microsoft to run the test.The module is fine with the 3 main test (Basics,Low Resource Simulation & Misc) but I'm having problems with the 4th test that is LuaPriv (Limited User Account Privilege Predictor).

This LuaPriv test runs the module under a limited user account mode (although i'm logged in as Administrator) and tries to find any problems that might prevent any functions of the s/w not being available to a user using in this mode or if the s/w allows a user to access certain functions that are only available to administrators.

I get quite a number of error messages by just loading the module i'm testing (I haven't even tested it's functions yet) and I don't quite understand the error messages (they don't seem to be specific)

The error messages seem to refer to namespaces,semaphores and mutex (all which are not related to the coding so I don't know how to fix them). A few example of the error messages are :

CreateSemaphoreA: Semaphore 'D:?VIJAYA?PO PHASE 2 (V2R3)?POP2-HQ-V2R3M1A-VB6SP6.EXE' has no namespace

--> this is the file path from where the project is running

QUOTE

-->i don't understand this at all

-->i know the lsass service is running under the OS but what's the problem here ?

THere are a load more of this error messages and i tried debugging them but i'm not very good at debugging (and am not sure how to handle this current problem). FOr each of this error message there is an error type which you can see in the log file (i've attached it)

Anyone who have used this software before or have handled this test before please enlighten me here,Thank You.
