Using an lcd computer monitor as a tv

Hello Guys,

I have just arrived here in the UK. Planning to get a computer monitor as a tv. Some monitors use a d-sub input. However, a freeview box/decoder uses SCART. I am not sure if anyone of you is familliar with this. I need to know how to convert and will the quality be the same. The main issue here is the conversion from SCART--->D-SUB

I have tried so many websites and they just dont explain enough. I am trying to avoid an lcd tv instead as it is much more exp than a regular "Dell" or "Acer" computer monitor. I know about the viewing aspect of a comp monitor compared to a tv but lets nvr mind that.
