Alienware m17x possible to upgrade GPU?

Hi all

I currently have an Alienware m17x (the very first version without the R2, R3, R4 etc.) which has been faithfully serving me for the past 3+ years.

After installing Crysis 3 to my horror I found out that it couldn't launch since the Nvidia Geforce GTX 260M that came with it is not DX11 compliant. I'm not surprised though considering how graphically advanced Crysis 3 is.

I was wondering is it actually possible to upgrade the GPU in my Alienware or will the layout in the laptop fail to accommodate any other GPU?

If it is possible, any ideas where I can get a DX11 capable Nvidia card for laptops? I think it starts on the 400M series onwards. Preferably I'm looking for something on the lower end price wise, as long as it's a better card than the 260M and it is DX11 compliant.

The reason being I'm planning to get a supercomputer gaming desktop soon with Nvidia GTX Titan so this is just to stave me off in the meantime. People have advised me to just save the money and wait till I get the desktop but I guess there's just no harm in asking first right?

Additionally, my current 260M is already recorded at 102-107 degrees celsius. The warranty has already expired so getting a free GPU/GPU fan replacement is a no-no. Any suggestions from other Alienware users on a good cooling pad/system that can also handle the m17x's 10kg weight? Apparently there's a cooling system out there called the NZXT Cryo LX that's ideal for the m17x since it matches the design nicely but I'm having trouble finding it anywhere else.
