Currently using Linksys WAG54G2 but not quite nice.

Sometimes no internet at all, have to restart and all

Got ip and the internet light on but there's no internet connection

Last time was using Dlink very good.torrent at full speed.

Any recommendation for a modem router these days?

Or maybe recommend me a modem and router separately which are great!

Guys i just got a new rig and after playing some games..the game just hang on its own and the picture distorted..is this hardware or software related?

My rig:

E8200

Corsair 2GB XMS ( 4gb)

WD 500GB SATA2

ASUS P5KR

ASUS 8800GT 1GB

Gigabyte 800W ODIN

Hello guys,

is there a way for us to bypass the vista bitcomet limitation of the 200 half open port?
i did all the regedit and all basicly my half open port should be around 70000 but bicomet 0.99 capped it at 200..any idea how to fix this?currently my torrent is slow not as usual since i migrated from xp to vista.usually i get around 1.7mbs and now im getting like 20kbs

Hard Disk Crackling sound

Guys..recently i bought a new pc...installed it and run it..but when the hdd is being accessed..like playing game and all..it makes a crackling sound...the sound which hdd is being accessed..is it normal aa?

btw before this i use ide in normal pc doesnt have any crackling sound but now change to new pc..new hard disk is wd500GB sata 2(3 years warranty and not 5)..is it normal or should i send back for a new one?if try to change..whats the procedure like?i bought it at lowyat

just bought it 10.02.08

since the old one is really old..running on

128 GC (dunno what brand also)

Hi,

I need some help. I scoured the Net for answers, but can't have a realtime response to things I don't understand. I used the component Loader to load an external movie into a main movie. Multiple questions, but related so I'll just post it all here.

1. How can I check if the external movie is finished playing (so that I can play the next movie)? I don't understand how Listeners work.

2. How can I fetch any variables from the external movie to be used inside the mainmovie or the other way around?

Example: I want to know what movie is playing. In external I defined

CODE

cur_movie = "Introduction Movie";

I want the cur_movie to be fetched INSIDE the main movie.
Or if I want the external movie to have variables fetched from the main movie such as the player's name...

3. Can we load a movie AND straight to the another scene in the movie?
Like this pseudo:

4. And lastly, can I put a button in the main movie to go to the next Scene in the external movie?

Main movie is the container, and loads multiple external movies. These external movies have multiple scenes. TQ. All responses appreciated.

Hi,

I am working on web apps that rely significantly on email communication. However, there is a major disappointment that I'm facing. The emails generated from the web apps are being sent to my client's Spam folders (both Yahoo and Gmail).

Considering that I'm not a Yahoo Mail staff (which sometimes I hope I am) I can't do anything to prevent this, except putting a large warning on my registration page telling clients that they would have to check their SPAM folder for my email.

I registered in a lot of Pre-built forums but never once the mails from those forums got into SPAM. They always landed into INBOX. Can I prevent my emails from going into people's SPAM folder on the first time they received the email?

Number 1:

I'm working on a freelance project and is now working on debugging/testing phase. There has arise an issue of 2 editors editing the same page using MySQL's query, and I was wondering, is there going to be a conflicting access?

Will there be 1 editor being left in the dark with Unauthorized Access/Access Denied or even 404 when another user is saving the query in the same section?

Must I create a user profile with GRANT privileges everytime I add a new editor? I already have the user system, but I'm a bit curious about sharing the MySQL account because I never had any experience, just the theory.

Can both 2 editor uses the same e.g root:admin password for MySQL?

Number 2:

I am working on the site, and the usual uploading, debugging, uploading again was going. Suddenly I can't access my site, making me think that it is disconnected. I checked with my friends IP (different IP) and its not disconnected so I contacted my webhost. They informed me a probability that my script has caused me to flood and the system banned my IP for a while. For a minute there, I was stunned because it works ok in localhost. All codes are scratch-written. There is no unlimited loop going on. How can I check? I use PHP and my web host uses Apache + CpanelX. Can I check where the flood happens? Because the flooding point is not fixed, sometimes when I work on this page, sometimes when working with another. I'm not even sure if that's the cause, but in localhost this event didn't happen. Oh, and I also use TinyMCE as the text editor in the site. I am a bit sensitive about code efficiency.

I was wondering how do you check on who and how many people is online in a website application.

Using javascript to load an onload function to count the user?

Or using PHP/MySQL and initiate some kind of count in database level? This would be ridiculous since we can count ppl visiting, but how can we count people leaving?

Can other people detect our CHMOD directories?

Hi, I am curious about this because I am working on a web project on the internet and there are some traces of weird stuff happening around that I couldn't put my finger on.

Some files that has been CHMOD777 is empty, I'm not sure being altered or my coding screwed up.

Can an intruder see and probe around in my FTP account and find what has been CHMOD-ed 777?

And for bonus Q, how can i disable directory viewing?

I used extensions .inc for my includes and left it in libraries folder. Somehow when i go to www.mysite.com/libraries it shows the whole contents of the directory. Can i disable viewing directories in cpanelx? I

i solved this problem temporarily by adding a dummy index.php there, but i want to know how to disable the whole directory.

i know some PHP, but not much on the server settings.

for the amount of rm3.5k i would like to know what kind of cpu will i be getting.
u can leave out monitor,speaker,mouse,dvd-rw,floppy disk in your quotation.
3.5k would involve motherboard,processor,3d card,sound card,casing,ram and hard disk.
