I was wondering how to become a lecturer in a local university besides waiting a job vacancy advertisement in a paper or in the website.
2.	I’m interested to become a lecturer but the problem is I don’t have a master yet. Will they consider if I’m only having a degree?
3.	How about a salary? If my current salary is higher than normal lecturer, are they able to offer a higher & competitive salary compare to me? At least same or higher than my current salary.

Owh, before someone ask, I've a few experience in industry in various company including top 500 Fortune company and I believe it's time to contribute something to our country especially in education.

Thanks
Why you should change your default

People from Streamyx says: Do not change the setting in the modem.

and this is the consequenses if you follow the wise advice from Streamyx.

What else bad people can do if they got your password?

1. They can access to your modem, do whatever they want. Change the setting, password, reboot, corrupt it
2. From the modem, they might get into your home network. Access into private and confidential file, listening to your communication (sniffing) etc2.

The purpose of this information is ONLY for education to show how harm it could be if you don't change your default password.

It's so easy to get access to other's modem especially if they're using default password.
1. Streamyx users have certain ip range.
2. Scan the whole ip range with any port scanner and only scan for port 80 (http) or 23 (telnet)
3. If you like, you can write your own script to auto login into these ips if the port 80 or 23 is open and try to authenticate it with default username & password.
4. Then, the modem is yours...
5. Once they get access to your device, they can easily view the ****** password if the password stored in the modem.
6. There is high chance that the same password has been used for other bank accounts, emails, social networkings etc.

Moral of the story... CHANGE YOUR DEFAULT STREAMYX PASSWORD NOW

QUOTE

Streamyx Account Hacked!
Hello,

Just for reminder to all new TMnet Streamyx subscriber.
Beware of your account. It can be hacked!

As we knew, every new subscriber will get their account username and password.

This account username is similar to their email account such as myname[at]streamyx.com.

We can find a thousand of @streamyx.com email account from google. Just search it.

and the most important is, the password. New account will come with 'standard' password.

and the standard password is = tmnet123.

so, anyone can use your new account with your standard password!

what make we care about?

1. losing your time, money and bandwidth also your access to the internet!
2. this can make everyone get access your mail account too!

what should we do?
1. change your standard password:
a.log in to your account at hxxps://tmbill.tm.net.my (please change those 'x' to 't' )
b.click to change password.

or, if there is error...
2. contact your ISP....

i've been tested for testing.....so if you did not change your standard password yet, make it now or someone will yours!

http://webmastermalaysia.com/mamak-stall/1...unt-hacked.html

All other LED such as Power, Link and PC are turn on as usual.

I've reseted the modem a few times and do it again... but the problem still there. I had to configure dialer in order to connect to the internet.

I've called Streamyx and they sent the technicians. Unfortunately, the technicians unable to solve the problem and he gave me new modem. Also the great Riger DB102.

I reconfigure the modem and it worked nicely for a few days.
Hi,

I just checking the price list at your site and I was wondering what is the meaning of these? Maybe you guys should put lagend so user can identify items easily. My guess is P stand for PATA and S for SATA. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Last time when I checked on hardware there was only PATA and SATA only. I didn't know if there is another version of PATA8? 16? Would appreciate if you could elaborate on this.

http://images.lowyat.net/pricelist/czone.pdf

QUOTE

DESKTOP HDD PT8 PT16 ST8 ST16 ST32

The second question is I want to build my own virtual lab at home but using a pc. Could you recommend what is the best spec for this purposes?

I'm thinking to install it with VMWare ESXi and running various of OS in it including windows, linux, bsd etc2.

Please advice.
Thanks, have a nice day and happy new year
