i7 rig temperature

Hello,

I bought a new machine recently and I am now checking on its temperature since I find it a bit hot.

CPU: i7 920
Motherboard: Asus P6T Deluxe V2
GPU: GTX 285

Idling my temperature is around 50-55 for all which I think is alright

But when i start bit heavy games (like Midway Battlestations or Dawn of War 2) the GPU goes to 60-70 quite fast.

I used rivatuner to put the GPU fan to 80% all time and it manage to kinda stable at 70+ degres.

But basically I would like to know what kind of temperature is "normal" for this type of device as I am not sure.

My room got no air cond btw.

Thanks

Asus P6T - difference between versions

Hello folks,

I am considering buying a new machine and highly considering going for a quad core i7 920 configuration and was thinking very hard on a Asus P6T motherboard since I have heard good things from it

The question I have though is what exactly are the differences between the different versions of the p6T?

I have seen "Asus P6T", "Asus P6T SE" and "Asus P6T Deluxe" passing around but I have not found a "comparaison" between the different model to help me find the right one for me.

Some site for example states that the Asus P6T ("normal") can only use 12G of RAM while others states up to 24G. It could be because 4G sticks are not very common yet but it is confusing me.

Some others say the normal does not support SLI etc.

So if anyone could share some light on the differences, would appreciate it.

Thanks in advance

[addedon]May 30, 2009, 1:49 am[/addedon]/bump

Anyone using these motherboards could give some feedbacks at least?

Thanks
